    Kumar starts proceedings with the ball after the rain delay. Charles hits it through the covers for four, making his intentions clear early on. Good stop from Rohit Sharma at point, saving a few crucial runs. After 11 overs, WI are 61 for 2.

    Gayle and Charles come out in the middle and Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes back into the Indian attack, it will be interesting to see if he swings the ball. Gayle hits it over point for a couple, first runs for West Indies. Kumar finishes his first over, just three from it.

    India were put into bat by West Indies and have set a massive total of 311 runs in their 50 overs. West Indies bowled well and were in control until Kohli came and scored with ease to get his 14th ODI hundred. West Indies need 312 to win and India need to win this game to stay alive in the series.

    Kohli looks for two to bring up his 100 but settles for a single. Ashwin on strike. A quick single and Bravo misses the stumps, that would have been run out on 99 for Kohli. Great knock especially when India needed it, they were struggling with wickets going down, but Kohli stabilized them and took them past 300. Last ball of the innings, and Kohli gets out, caught in the deep but he has done a great job for India.

    Kohli starts with a boundary, what a shot that was. Ashwin gets into the action again, upper cuts for four, another great shot from him. Kohli gets this through the off side for another four, moves on to 97, great shot, powerful cover drive. One over to go, India are 305 for 6.

    Kohli starts the over with a six off the back foot and off a slower ball, great shot over extra cover. Short ball and Ashwin pulls it away for four, this will help India get back into the game. Ashwin really making Bravo's poor bowling pay, coming down the wicket and hitting it through point for four, good control. Charles saves a few runs on the boundary, Ashwin picks up two more runs. Two overs to go, India 290 for 6.

    Roach into the attack now. Kohli attacks him but can't get a four, gets a single. Ashwin gets a single, without wasting any balls. Another big wide down the leg side, they are wasting the advantage that they had after picking up wickets. A couple of dots as Kohli tries to muscles both of them but misses. A good shot from Kohli, swung through the line for four at square leg.

Ashwin takes another single, he is doing his job very well too. Narine is still off the field so he can't bowl. Kohli gets it to square leg for a single. Another good over for India.

    West Indies have a poor over rate, they should have finished their overs by now. Lovely shot from Kohli, went back on to his back foot and hit it through the leg side. Then he powerfully guides a full toss for four through off side. India 254 for 6 after 45 overs.

    Another wide down the leg side, Ashwin calmly lets it go. Then he gets a single to give Kohli the strike. Bravo bowling round the stumps, and another wide, this time it is too high. Kohli runs hard and gets two, good running. Then he rocks on to his back foot and swivels to get it square for four. Six overs remaining.

    Another wide down leg, there have been a few of those today. Kohli manages to find the boundary again, good shot behind point. Fifty for Virat Kohli who is the captain today, fine innings from him when India needed them. Another wide down the leg side, appeals for caught behind again. Ashwin did not touch that. A couple of runs to end the Best over, India 232 for 6 with 7 overs remaining.

    Jadeja tries to hit that one hard, only to find mid off, no run. Pollard almost catches that, incredible effort, made it look easy too. Jadeja gets a single to third man. Chance of a run out, Bravo completes the run out, WICKET! Jadeja goes. A misunderstanding between Kohli and Jadeja resulting in a run out. Ashwin walks out, India losing a string of wickets are in trouble. Narine seems to have injured his bowling fingers and is off the field.

    Best brought back into the attack. Kohli pulls Best for a couple of runs, slightly late into the shot. A single as Pollard can't stop that, a great effort at point. Where 300 looked possible, India will be happy with 260-270. Kohli gets another boundary through the point region.

    Pollard brought into the attack and Vijay drives him through the off side for four, commanding shot. Now he is just playing good shots and getting rewarded, just plays it over the inner circle to fine leg for another boundary. WICKET! Vijay goes for another big shot and is caught at point. But this knock will help India, Pollard celebrates as he gets his man. Jadeja comes out to bat. Ten overs to go.

Tries to get the ball through the off side, then next ball, goes down on one knee and sweep Narine for four to fine leg. A single brings up India's 200 with 11 overs to go.

    Another ball down the leg side from Roach and Vijay just guides it to the fine leg boundary. Kohli gets another boundary through his favourite midwicket region. A good over for India so far, it is the batting powerplay. After 38 overs, India are 191 for 4.

    Samuels starts with some creative field placings, Vijay takes a single off the first ball. Kohli slaps that to the point boundary, that will give him some confidence, a good cut shot. Good over from Samuels.

    The powerplay is taken and Dinesh Karthik is given out. WICKET! The wicket keeper did not look convinced at all, but the umpire gives him out. Murali Vijay comes out to bat, with everything to prove. He has been dropped for the Zimbabwe series, but India really need him to bat well here. Best greets Vijay with a short ball to start, Kohli goes up to VIjay and calms him down. Well played by Kohli, getting inside of the ball and using his wrists to get it away from the fielder for four.

    Best to continue, wide down leg and the keeper does well to collect it. Down leg again, Kohli helps it to fine leg and Samuels stops a boundary and saves a few crucial runs.     Tino Best introduced into the attack to bowl the last over of the powerplay. Indians pinch a quick single from the first ball. Rohit hits it through point, but the ball does not go beyond Pollard who makes a useful stop. Just a single from the over, India are 39 for no loss after the first ten overs.

    Sharma carves this through the off side for four. It was a good over so far with four dots, but Sharma again gets that crucial boundary. Just the four from the over.

    Dhawan gets through the off side and gets a boundary, even Pollard does not manage to stop it. This is a better shot from Dhawan, solid balance and good boundary. He follows it up with a couple on the leg side. After 8, India are 34 for no loss.

    It seems to be a pitch for medium pace bowlers rather than the genuinely quick and West Indies have a lot of medium pacers. Another good over, this time from Roach.

    Sharma plays this effortlessly through the off side for four, after a few dots Sharma releases the pressure with a good cover drive. Just the boundary from the over.

    Roach gives a short ball and Sharma stands up and pulls it for four, good shot releases the pressure. Then Sharma pushes the ball into the leg side for a single, giving the strike to the left-handed Dhawan. Top shot from Dhawan, just pushed down the ground with a strong bottom hand and it beats mid off to find the boundary. This time Dhawan plays it on the up through the point region for another boundary. Good over for India.
