Broad keeps faith in Dernbach and is repaid as the Surrey man bowls a superb final over, conceding just seven. England will need 169 to reach the semi-finals!
Bosh! Perera rocks back and swats Broad over long-on for another maximum! He is playing a blinder for Sri Lanka here. Broad goes back to yorker length in an attempt to stem the flow of runs but Thirimanne finds a way of threading the infield and picking up a boundary through backward point, despite aiming around midwicket! WICKET! Thirimanne goes for 13, playing all around a slower ball and seeing his off stump removed. Some consolation for Broad, who ends with 3-32 from four overs
The balance shifts back in Sri Lanka's favour after another expensive over from Dernbach, who is really struggling out there. Mendis pulls him over square-leg before Thirimanne gets in on the act final ball by dispatching him over long-on. 16 in total off the over and Broad will have a decision to make on who to bowl at the death
A cracking final over from Finn, who concedes only three singles to finish with 1-23 from his four overs. He could have added Perera to the wickets column but his slice over extra cover just landed wide of Broad, who dived full length at it. England have put everything into their fielding and bowling. Can they hold their nerve at the death?
The 50 partnership between Mathews and Mendis comes up off 29 balls when Mathews drives Broad for four more. That really should have been cut off by Wright and the bowler is less than impressed. WICKET! He's smiling now, I think! Mendis (18) pulls Broad straight to Bopara, who takes the catch to break the partnership at last! WICKET! Two in two again! Mathews drags a short ball back on to his stumps and goes for 28. The crowd are silenced! Thirimanne and Perera are the new men - Sri Lanka bat very deep. Great over for England
Big, big over for Sri Lanka, who take Patel for 17 after a six apiece for Mathews and Mendis. Patel has now conceded 27 from two overs and England are back under pressure. The second six was actually caught by Finn, but he couldn't stop himself running over the rope. A great, great effort nevertheless
Bopara tests Bairstow's agility with a wide down the leg-side which the Yorkshireman does very well to stop. Mathews then brings up the Sri Lanka 100 with two more runs smeared through wide long-off. A decent over from the Essex man though, it costs eight
Wow, the ball is spinning a mile now, and bouncing too. Bairstow is struggling to deal with it all and concedes four byes in an over which costs six in total. Sri Lanka's spinners are going to be licking their lips in the changing room. England will not want to be chasing many more than 150...
Broad piles the pressure on Mathews with four successive dots but the Sri Lanka all-rounder responds with back-to-back boundaries through wide long-off to end the over. Just too full from the bowler. This is a fascinating contest and Sri Lanka are not backing down!
WICKET! And they get that wicket! Morgan, diving forward at deep midwicket, takes a superb catch to remove Jayawardene for 42 off 38 balls. Swann celebrates, he's delighted! That's his 50th T20 scalp. Mathews joins Sangakkara in the middle. WICKET!! Two in two! Swann finds Sangakkara's edge and Bairstow takes this one! Kumar can't believe umpire Davis has given that and shakes his head as he walks off having made 13 from 12. Two new men in and Jeevan Mendis survives hat-trick ball with a solid block. The left-hander then sweeps hard for a one-bounce four, that was a brave shot but he played it very well. A reverse-sweep follows and that also finds the rope. Wickets, runs, it's all happening!
Patel comes on and Sri Lanka target him right away. Jaywardene cuts and sweeps him for boundaries and in total the over costs 10. Sri Lanka are just building some momentum here and England desperately need a wicket
DROP! Bairstow, standing upto Swann, puts down Sangakkara! Just a tiny edge attempting to cut and another chance goes begging. Jayawardene then rubs salt in the wounds with another reverse-sweep which finds the rope - SL's first boundary in 14 balls. Broad counters by bringing another man across into that area and he fields immediately
Bopara comes on with his medium-pacers. Can England's partnership-breaker break this one? Not right away, although his opening over costs just four as SL settle for singles before Mahela is beaten by a wobbler last ball
Jayawardene is in the groove now and plays a superbly-controlled reverse-sweep off Swann to find the fence. Swann's opening over costs nine and you would have to say Sri Lanka are just ahead at this stage. There is spin, too, which will making chasing even harder later on
Broad brings himself into the attack for the final powerplay over. Mahela is keen to make the most of it but misses two wild swipes outside off stump. A brilliant start from the England skipper is nearly capped with a wicket when Jayawardene lobs a drive just over Bopara at short extra cover. Three off it
Finn, who has bowled the most dot balls in the tournament, starts with two more at the start of his third over. Broad clearly wants this partnership breaking, fast. WICKET! It works! The pressure pays as Dilshan is trapped lbw attempting an ambitious hoik across the line. He goes for 16. Sangakkara is the new batsman and he is off the mark first ball with two through the covers. Finn catches his edge final ball but it bounces just short of Bairstow, who can't stop it bobbling through his legs and reaching the fence. Sloppy work
Jayawardene clears the boundary this time, pulling Dernbach over backward square-leg for a delightful maximum! Dernbach persists with the short ball but Dilshan reads the plan and uppercuts another six, this one over third man! Under pressure, Dernbach then fires down a leg-side wide and a very ordinary over costs 16!
Mahela is all over a short ball from Finn early in the over and pulls it elegantly for a one-bounce four - so nearly a six. The Middlesex man comes back well though, beating Jayawardene twice outside off stump and finishing with a dot. Tight start from England
DROP! Swann spills Dilshan at first slip after Dernbach had caught the shoulder of his bat! A real let-off for Sri Lanka and a big miss for England. The Surrey seamer concedes just four runs from his first over and has a strong lbw appeal turned down to-boot. Right call from umpire Taufel
Finn takes the first over for England and produces some early movement back into right-handers Dilshan and Jayawardene. Dilshan spoils a tidy opening over with a cracking boundary through the covers, standing tall and punching the final ball off the back foot for four
Nick North adds: "It's very brave playing Bopara, he can either be pretty good or awful. Either way, he is not a match-winner. Then again, speaking too soon..."
The players are out for their respective national anthems. Huge game, i'm excited, hope you are too. Let's hope England can take inspiration from Team Europe last night!

Neil Radburn asks: "I'm an Essex fan, big fan of Ravi but why on earth did we take Lumb if you're not gonna play him in these circumstances??" - My guess would be that Bopara is rated as a better player of spin so they are backing him to negotiate Sri Lanka's plethora of spinners... We shall see. Either way, it's a brave call

I'll try and keep this simple: If England win, they are through in place of West Indies, if they lose they go home. If they win really, really well, Sri Lanka could be eliminated and WI will progress
