    Three overs to go, surely now they will start hitting long and big. Kulasekara is hit for a six over long on, a good clean shot from Russell. Six, this time it is Samuels, just hits it straight again for a big one, 102-meter six, the longest of this tournament. Four, Samuels plays it nicely through the off side for four, a good shot.     Malinga runs in with the ball. Andre Russell coming in before Sammy, they seem to be trying different combinations here. Some good fielding throughout from Sri Lanka, must have saved 20 runs in the field.

    Ajantha Mendis comes in, Mahela shuffling his bowlers to good effect. WICKET! Pollard misses, Ajantha hits. Bowled him, goes through his defenses and Pollard is disappointed. Four overs, 2 for 12, that is the end of Ajantha Mendis.

    Jeevan Mendis is brought back into the attack. WICKET! Bravo tries to get this over the long on fielder but ends up as an easy catch for Dilshan. Bravo out for 40, that brings Pollard to the crease. Six, Samuels walks down the pitch and hits this one out of the park for a big 93-meter six. Five overs to go, it is 90 for 3.

    Mathews to bowl the 14th over. The run rate is still under 6 runs per over. Sri Lanka really keeping the runs down, but they will want to pick up some wickets. Four, driven by Bravo, nicely placed into the gap for four. Nine from the over, Windies are 80 for 2 after 14.

    Lasith Malinga comes back to bowl his second over today. Nicely played past the keeper for four, Samuels just angling it past Sangakkara using the extra pace from Malinga. Sri Lanka are looking to pick up a few more wickets. Eight from the over, it is 71 for 2 after 13 overs.

    Ajantha Mendis to bowl his third. A big appeal for lbw, but it hit him outside the line of the stumps. Bravo picks the spin well and plays it over midwicket for a six! Good, powerful shot and some useful runs.

    A change in the bowling, Jeevan Mendis comes in to bowl. Mendis is bowling confidently, mixing it up well. Just two from that over.

    Over 10 WI 53/2 (Samuels 13, Bravo 24)

    Bravo picks this one up from Herath and puts it out of the park for a six. A big six from the first ball, putting the pressure on the bowler. Samuels comes down the pitch, swings hard and misses it. A couple of runs to end the over, after 10 overs it is 53 for 2.

    Mendis back into the attack, a slip in place. Mendis bowling some really good deliveries, putting pressure on the batsmen. Another good over from him.

    Over 8 WI 38/2 (Samuels 7, Bravo 15)

    Rangana Herath comes in to put a spin on things. Bravo gets it away and into the off side for another boundary. A strong shot through the covers for four. After 8 overs, its 38 for 2.

    Over 7 WI 33/2 (Samuels 6, Bravo 11)

    Mathews comes back into the attack. Sri Lankans are all over the ball here, fielders keeping things tight and bowlers bowling well. Samuels edges this one past the first slip area for four. Mahela puts a slip in for Mathews after the boundary. Bravo drives through the covers for four, picking the gap to perfection. A good over for Windies, 13 from it.

    Kulasekara picks up Gayle! WICKET! Gayle goes after this one, only gets a nick on it as it flies to the keeper and Sangakkara takes a good catch. Two wickets in two overs for Sri Lanka. Dwayne Bravo walks in, Windies in a tight spot. Four, times it sweetly past the bowler for four, good straight drive to start with. After the powerplay it is just 20 for 2, the lowest powerplay score in this tournament.

    Over 5 WI 16/1 (Samuels 0, Gayle 2)

    Ajantha Mendis comes into the attack, Mahela shuffling his bowlers. An appeal for lbw against Charles, but the umpire not interested, replays show it was hitting outside the line of the stumps. The batsmen struggling to pick Mendis. WICKET! Charles reacting to the pressure by coming down the wicket and the ball goes through him to the keeper who completes an easy stumping. The dot balls really putting the pressure on Charles. Some good bowling from Sri Lanka is rewarded. Marlon Samuels comes out to bat.

    A yorker from Kulasekara to start the over, well directed and dug out by Gayle. The pressure slowly building on the West Indies now, the dot balls taking their toll. Another very good over for the hosts.

    Malinga gets the ball, replaces Mathews. He strays down the leg side and Charles puts him away for a good boundary, just guided it to the fence. After a couple of plays and misses, Charles plays a beautiful straight drive for four. Just jabbed it nicely down the ground, good balance and control. Two boundaries from the Malinga over.

    Nuwan Kulasekara gets the new ball, Malinga is held back for later. Charles takes a bit of time to get going, as we saw in the last game, but can be dangerous when he is set. Another good over from Sri Lankan, a quiet start from Gayle.

    Sri Lanka will start with Angelo Mathews, an interesting choice. Johnston Charles and Chris Gayle open for West Indies. A good start from Mathews, some good fielding from Sri Lanka too. Just three from the first over.
