Four, Misbah scoring fast now, Ingram gives him a full toss and it is put away for four. Six, Misbah gets to his 50 with another six, this over will hurt SA.

    Pakistan need exactly run a ball from here on. Tsotsobe gets the outside edge and Misbah gets a single. Farhat runs it down to third man for a single. Misbah top edges one over the keeper for four.

    McLaren continues. Beautifully played by Misbah and Steyn does well in the end to keep it to two. Good fielding again from SA. Misbah inside edges one to the boundary, unlucky for McLaren as it was just missing the stumps. It brings up the 50 partnership.

    Tsotsobe back into the attack and some good footwork from Steyn on the boundary keeps it down to a couple of runs. Farhat played the square cut for two. Then he runs it down to third man for a single. Pakistan are in a similar position to SA when Miller and de Villiers were batting. For the first time, Pakistan need 6 runs per over.

    McLaren will be hoping to bowl a better over than his last one. Farhet pulls but can't get hold of it, but gets a single. Tapped down by Misbah and he picks up a quick single. Four singles from the over.

    Big shout from Peterson for lbw, Farhat gets some bat on it as he sweeps. A few dots from Peterson and Misbah will look to attack him. Very good bowling from Peterson.

    Ryan McLaren comes into the attack. Misbah drives the slower delivery square of the wicket on the off side for a single. A wide down leg from McLaren. Farhat finally gets the boundary behind point, a solid shot smashing McLaren through the off side. Seven from the over.

    Peterson keeping is cool, Misbah is dancing around in the crease and Peterson following him well. Misbah finally gets some runs through midwicket, Peterson's consistency is unsettling the batsmen. Three from the over.

    It has been over an hour since Farhat has hit a boundary, so he is looking to play the slow, anchoring innings that Misbah generally plays. A much better over from Rory, Misbah trying to walk across and hit on the leg side. Just a single from the last ball. The required rate inching towards 6.

    Peterson continues, SA will look to keep the runs down to put some pressure on Pakistan. Good, attacking field placing from de Villiers and Peterson. A good over from Peterson, just the single from it.

    Misbah playing his normal game, sedate and controlled. Farhat needs to take a few risks at the other end. Misbah drives this very nicely through extra cover, a boundary from a solid shot. Misbah then pulls but it will be cut off at the midwicket boundary, McLaren keeps it to two. Eight from the over, a good one for the visitors.

    Peterson into his 2nd over, Ingram gives chase on the boundary and keeps it down to two. The batsmen now looking to score quicker, taking a few risks. Five from the over.

    Peterson comes into the attack, expecting this pitch to spin a bit. Pakistan run rate is under 3 now and the required rate is around 5.5 per over. Four runs from Peterson's first over.

    Steyn is back on the field, something of a neck/shoulder injury. SA playing only 5 bowlers today, so Steyn can't afford to stay off the field. Kleinveldt continues with the ball. If SA can get another wicket here, they will really feel in control. Just a single from the over.

    Steyn is off the field because of a neck injury, so Rory Kleinveldt comes into the attack. Dropped! This does not happen often, but Smith at first slip puts one down. It went quickly to him and he got both hands to it, but he drops it and Younus Khan survives. A wide called down leg. Another wide. WICKET! Kleinveldt gets Khan's inside edge and on to the stumps.

    Tsotsobe bowls one way down leg side, a big wide to start the over. WICKET! What a catch, what a catch! Akmal plays it to point and Miller takes a brilliant, low catch to get rid of Akmal. SA had to take quick wickets and they have done that. After 6 overs, Pakistan are 20 for 2.

    Steyn continues. South Africa may be 15 to 20 runs short of where they should have been, but some good bowling will restrict Pakistan. Steyn is bowling very well here, Farhat gets a top edge and Steyn puts in a big dive but can't hold on to the catch. A maiden, and a good over from Steyn.

    Akmal plays a rash shot, goes over the slips for four. Smith was a first slip and jumps to get a finger to it, but can't hold on to the catch. Kleinveldt on the boundary does very well to stop a four. They run two.

    Steyn to continue, SA get their early wicket in a strange fashion. A cracking shot from Akmal square of the wicket for four. Five from the over.

    Tsotsobe will bowl the 2nd over of the innings. SA need an early breakthrough like Pakistan did. Some controversy here, are the batsman altered the line to intercept the ball. This rule was changed recently, the umpires may go to the third umpire for this one. Hafeez can be given out for obstructing field. Umpire Bowden is talking to the umpires and Hafeez is out. WICKET! What a strange way to go. Farhat smashes that through the off side for four.

    Steyn charges in to bowl the first over. It is a decent pitch and SA will need to fight to win this match. A slight appeal for lbw, but it was going over the stumps. Pakistan off the mark with a leg bye.

    Over 50 SA 234/9 (Peterson 25, Tsotsobe 5)

    Last over of this innings and Khan will bowl it. Full and straight and gets it through Steyn's defenses. WICKET! Steyn bowled for 9. Tsotsobe comes out to bat and will look to give the strike to Peterson. Tsotsobe plays a lovely drive for four, straight down the ground. Follows up with a single to get Peterson on strike. Another boundary, the reverse paddle off the seamer from Peterson, creative batting again for the South Africans. Peterson smashes it through point for four, SA now 234 which is a good total. SA end with 234 for 9.

    Irfan continues, bowls a full toss but Peterson can't put it away. A good shot and some good fielding from Younus Khan, Peterson gets a single. Another full toss and just a single again. After 49 overs, SA are 221 for 8.

    Ajmal to bowl his last over. Peterson gets a single from the first ball. A target of 230 or so will be ideal here, this ground is not known for its big scores. A couple of runs for Steyn as his outside edge goes past the slip. It is called a wide as it spins down leg, a bonus run.

    Irfan comes back into the attack. Peterson drives straight down the ground for a single. Kleinveldt hits that hard to mid on for no run. Kleinveldt gets it through the gap this time for four, pulls Irfan onto the on side. WICKET! the stumps are disturbed and Kleinveldt is bowled from a big swing and a miss. Steyn comes out to bat. Four, Dale Steyn gets an outside edge and with no slips, the ball goes for four.

    Khan comes back into the attack, Ajmal still has one over to go. Peterson swings, but only gets a single. Kleinveldt gets a full toss, but unable to put it away. Kleinveldt swings it like a golf club and gets a boundary, one bounce four for him and he brings up the 200 for SA.

    Afridi finishes his 8th. A good over from SA, five from it.

    Afridi is back, replacing Hafeez who finished his quota of overs. A wide down the leg side. Four singles and a wide from that over.

    Saeed Ajmal getting through is over really quickly, just like Hafeez. It runs down to the boundary, an edge from Kleinveldt goes for four.

    Hafeez to Peterson, who takes a single. Hafeez gets through his over very quickly, just one coming from it.

    Amjal to bowl the last over of the power play. SA need to rebuild again in this innings, Pakistan pulling things back with a couple of wickets. The big man Irfan, takes a good catch, he lost it in the sun and then used his height to hang on to it. McLaren plays a rash shot and loses his WICKET! SA in all sorts of trouble now.

    Hafeez bowling to two new batsmen at the crease. McLaren almost gets a boundary but some good work on the ropes keeps it to three.

    A good punch from AB for four, opening the face of the bat at the very last minute and gets a good cover drive. WICKET! de Villers does not think he got any bat on that, but the umpire gives him out and they don't have any reviews left. Ajmal gets the two crucial wickets of AB and Miller. AB goes for 75. Peterson walks out to bat.

    Hafeez replaces Afridi, Irfan has left the park again. A chance of a run out and a better throw would have seen AB de Villier's would have been gone. McLaren works it on to the off side for a single. Just three from this over, Hafeez keeping things tight.

    The power play is taken and AB has an opportunity to score some quick runs. Ajmal to bowl. Swing and a miss from McLaren, Ajmal gets some turn. Three from the over.

    This pair is batting well, communicating very well and running between the wickets superbly. Ajmal is brought back into the attack. Miller has reviewed the lbw appeal, as Dharmasena gives him out. It is pitching in line and straightening enough, height may be a factor though. WICKET! a good decision from the umpire and Miller falls for 67, Ajmal gets the breakthrough. A good knock from Miller and McLaren walks out to bat. Three runs and the wicket from this over.

    Miller plays another exquisite drive for four. Another good shot from him. Afridi goes for six from the over, SA 151 for 4 after 33.

    Miller sweeps and sweeps well, and finds the boundary. A strong shot, very well timed and controlled. AB runs two, they have at least squeezed 20 more runs because of their running. Miller moves on to his best score in ODIs. Partnership now 107 from 135 balls

    Appeal for lbw, but umpire not interested. A great shot from Miller, through the covers for four. No need to run for that one, Miller gets his fifty at a crucial time for SA.

    Hafeez continues. Miller comes down the ground and gets it part short fine leg for a couple of runs. Another two, this time manufactured by some really good running between wickets. Six from the over.

    AB gets it through the gap on the off side for a single. Miller then reverse sweeps and gets it away from Ajmal for four, creative shots.

    This pair is so quick between the wickets, they are dropping the ball to point and running a single. Four from the Hafeez over.

    de Villiers plays the paddle sweep for a single. Appeal for lbw, but may be high and going down leg. Misbah reviews it, after a chat with Ajmal and Akmal. Replays show it was high and Miller survives. A reverse sweep from AB, takes the inside edge and goes to the boundary on the wrong side of the wicket. Good recovery so far from these two.

    Saeed Ajmal brought into the attack. Miller plays a good sweep shot for a four, covered the spin well. Pakistan has to put pressure on Miller, he is the man under pressure but has batted well today. Six of the Ajmal over.

    Wahab Riaz introduced into the attack. AB puts it into the leg side for a couple of runs, good shot off the hips. Miller slashes and gets a thick outside edge on it for four, a wide one from Riaz. Similar shot again, this time the third man cuts it off. A good over for SA.

    Irfan continues after the drinks break. A wide down the leg side for Irfan. Irfan goes for another short ball and it beats everything and everyone and goes for four. A few runs from wides this over. AB just slaps it down to third man.

    Dropped! Miller has been dropped at midwicket, Hafeez is not impressed. Fantastic running from Miller, just pushes it on to the leg side and squeezes two.

    Irfan back into the attack after a bit of a break. Extra bounce for the tall left-arm quick. Pakistan keeping things quiet and Misbah is looking for more wickets with Irfan bowling. Good over, just three from it.

    The single brings up the 50 for SA. Another good over from Khan, just four runs from it and all of them singles.

    A shy at the stumps, but AB was safe as the throw did not hit the stumps. SA need a partnership. After 13 overs, SA are 49 for 4.

    Miller has a good opportunity to build a slow but crucial innings for Miller. If he gets a big score here, he will make a place in the side. Miller pushes it into the off side and good work by Hafeez on the boundary to keep it to two. Khan continues, but Irfan is held back for the end of the innings.     Spin is introduced after the power play as Hafeez gets the ball. SA is in all sorts of trouble, de Villiers is the key man for them now. Almost a leading edge for AB, that would have been dangerous.

    Smith has been walking across a lot in this innings and Khan aims it at leg stump and gets a wicket. WICKET! Smith goes after some clever bowling from Khan. An appeal for a run out against AB de Villiers, but he thinks he is safe. Replays show he is safe, AB is quick. WICKET! Another wicket and SA now in big trouble. Behardien edges one to the keeper.

    AB pushes this through the off side for three runs, slightly mis-timed this one but still manages to get three. This pair now looking comfortable at the crease, after the initial collapse.

    Khan is bowling a tight line, containing the batsmen. AB inside edges Khan for a couple of runs, to break the string of dot balls.

    Smith tries to pull the ball as it climbs onto him. It goes in the air, but is safe. Well bowled by Irfan, beating the outside edge of AB's bat. Smith tries the pull shot again, gets hold of it and puts it out of the ground for a six, super shot from Smith.

    Khan to bowl his third. Smith and de Villiers will be looking to build a partnership as Faf is not playing today to provide some experience down the order. Behardien and Miller are relatively inexperienced. A good maiden from Khan, creating some pressure.

    Irfan is bowling well to Smith, not giving him too much room. First leg byes of the day, as AB tries to work it on the leg side.

    Khan is worked on the leg side by AB de Villiers and runs hard for a couple of runs. First ball wicket, Amla falls caught behind, what a crucial wicket this is. Ingram is the new man in. WICKET! What a ball, straight and full and Ingram loses his off stump. Irfan picks up another one, what a start in a must win game for Pakistan. The captain walks out to join the test captain. A double-wicket first over to start Pakistan's day! AB launches counter attack with a handsome boundary.
