149-7 - WICKET! Nine victims in the match for Roach as Hussey is castled. The left-hander drove away from his body, and might've even been looking to run before the shot was completed. The result is a heavy inside edge onto his stumps. One more scalp and the fast bowler will have his maiden Test 10-for. Hilfenhaus in now ahead of Pattinson. WICKET! He doesn't lasdt long at all, clean bowled by the pace ace. The tail-ender left a big gap between bat and pad on the defence, with some seam movement sniping through. That's 10 wickets in the Test for a deserving Kemar. Stll no Pattinson, as Lyon comes to the crease.
142-5 - Impatience is getting the better of Wade. Experienced enough in limited-overs competition, he is still learning in Test cricket.
140-5 - Big, heavy clouds rolling in amid a switling wind. A rain delay seems imminent, if not a halt to play because of bad light.
135-5 - Immediate intent after the break from Hussey, who climbs into a six over long-off and then slaps four past mid-on. The fielders are forced to spread. Aussies chasing the declaration.
All and sundry back out in the middle after a quick bite to eat. Strap in for the ride, folks, we might be in for an interesting passage of play.
Australia lead by 177. I want to say there is going to be a twist in a tale otherwise destined for a draw, but the Windies didn't take enough wickets in the first session. And Australia probably aren't going to declare soon, so won't have enough time to fetch 10 wickets. That said, I'd love to eat my words. Stick around for that, maybe, after the break.
123-5 - Wade, again, not succeeding on the pull. Beaten outside the off-stump once and then wearing a blow to the arm, the left-hander might want to think about just ducking under 'em.
120-5 - The freelance spinner, and a darn good one at that, will turn his arm over before the lunch break. No risky shot selection from the batsmen, in due course, with Deonarine offered due respect.
118-5 - Approaching from around the wicket, the seamer bangs in a wayward bouncer, which Wade swings at but misses, well at least gets a bottom edge. He almost loses his bat in the process. Wicketkeeper, Baugh, perhaps fearing the potential flight of the willow, fudges his role and let's through a single on the bounce.
116-5 - Hussey will be the fist to admit that he was not entirely in control of the shot, but will take four on the sweep regardless. Doesn't matter how they come, as long as they come.
112-5 - Wide from Sammy, with Wade cashing in on the pull the way to the midwicket fence for four. He didn't quite middle that, but the toe-end did enough. Sammy follows that up with a clever slower ball to trouble the batsman, who almost lets the ball snipe through the gate.
106-5 - Fast bowler Edwards returns to the field after a brief exit, but no return to the attack for him yet. Instead the spinner continues to Wade, who now decides it's time to attack. Something of a slog-sweep ensues, for just one. He really reached at that.
105-5 - Hussey's cut for one leaves his fellow left-hander to the strike, who in turn tries to work the ball through the covers but can't find the gap. Then a cheeky single to steal back to the safety of the non-striker's end, where Wade takes in the rest of the over rested on his bat handle.
103-5 - Wade all defence. He doesn't want another failure to his name. Peter Nevill is knocking at the door, if not Brad Haddin.
103-5 - Pattinson is pictured on his way to the nets. He would be the next man in and they're probably testing out whether or not he can bat with his back injury. Wade defends the ball into the leg side for a single, the sole run-scoring in the over.
102-5 - Hussey gets off the mark at last, flicking the ball to midwicket for two. Déjà vu as he ends the over in similar fashion.
98-5 - Wade is all defence to Sammy first up and rightly so, these are dangerous times for the Australians. He does slash at a wide on to end the over but can't pierce the field.
97-5 - Oooh, the spinner is causing some problems as he induces and edge from Wade first up (soft hands save the batsman as the ball falls into the gap) and Hussey certainly doesn't look comfortable when Wade gets off strike with a single swept away.
The complexion of the game has changed a touch, with two quick wickets opening the game up for a possible West Indies win.
96-5 - Wicket! Another one gone, Sammy wins the battle of the skippers! It's a near half-volley and Clarke dabs it down the ground. Sammy stretches across the pitch to his right and somehow manages to pluck it out of nowhere! Wade is the new man and he gets off the mark, stealing a single to point.
95-4 - Time for some spin with Shillingford coming on. Clarke uses his feet to the spinner and slightly miscues the shot as he plays it down to long on for one. Some good turn and bounce from Shillingford.
94-4 - We have our first bowling change of the morning and it's the skipper Darren Sammy who enters the fray. A single to Clarke as he dabs the ball down the ground. Less than an hour to go until lunch even though we started late. Crazy times...
93-4 - Shouts of 'catch' as the Ponting clips the ball very fine, using the natural line of the ball to his advantage, and Baugh behind the stumps can't get across to cut it off. Wicket! There are more shouts of 'catch' later in the over and this time they're a lot more realistic and the fielder pouches it as Ponting deposits a slightly top edged pull down the throat of square leg. Reward at alst for Edwards.
89-3 - This is tough times for the bowlers, they're really running in and giving it everything but the Australians are solid in defence. That's all they need to be too, having won the first Test the visitors will be happy to just bat this out. Another maiden from Roach it is but he wants wickets.
89-3 - Nicely driven into the cover by Ponting, he appears to time it well but the slow outfield once again holds the ball up and they get two. Just as well as Ponting drives, Edwards beats the bat; Ponting prods forwards and plays inside the line of the ball, very close to the edge there.
87-3 - A meek delivery from Roach thuds into the thigh pad of Ponting and loops into the midwicket region for a leg bye. Clarke is having to stay on his toes against Roach who is bowling a troubling length to him although the line too often angling too far down leg.
86-3 - Into the pads of Clarke who turns the ball to Sammy at midwicket who may as well not be there as the ball goes straight through him. More to Edwards' liking will be when the ball goes straight through Clarke as he gets one to straighten, beating the bat.
84-3 - Roach trots out a maiden. He's straying a bit too straight at the moment, on the pads of the right-hander.
84-3 - Ponting and Clarke exchange singles in a rather sedate start to proceedings.
81-3 - The West Indies waste another review as Roach and Sammy decide to challenge Ian Gould's decision not to give Clarke lbw as the skipper over-balances as he looks to play the ball to leg. It's a silly move though because Roach is angling the ball to leg and with both stumps visible when Clarke is hit there is no way that one was going to get overturned. Replays don't even indicate it's an 'umpire's call' situation, the ball was flat out missing leg stump by some way.
80-3 - It's Edwards to come steaming in. We said runs would be a bit tough to come by, but Clarke isn't having any trouble first up as he whips the ball into the leg side for two more a runs haul he then replicates by turning the ball behind square.
76-3 - Clarke gets the scoring for the day underway with a drive wide of mid off. We get an early illustration of how the outfield as slowed due to the rain as it doesn't make it to the fence. They run three though and that allows Ponting to see out the remainder of the over.
Kemar Roach has the ball in his hands and we're ready to get going.
While the Australian batsmen prepare to press on, there is bad news for the bowlers as it is confirmed that Peter Siddle has flown back to Australia and James Pattinson will follow him after the conclusion of this Test.
Right, so play will get underway 10:15 local time (14:15 GMT). Not too long to wait.
The outfield is wet in areas and the umpires aren't happy. There will be an inspection at 09:45 local time (13:45 GMT) after which the umpires will give some indication as to when play will get underway.
There is still something in the wicket, runs certainly won't be easy to come by but in terms of survival, the Australians should be able to stick it out with a dogged effort.
It seems we may have a slight delay with all the rain from yesterday ensuring that the outfield is a touch too damp in areas for the umpire's liking.
James Pattinson has had some scans on his stiff back and while the initial news is that there is no serious injury, he won't be batting at eight and a decision will be made later as to whether or not he will bowl.
A draw certainly seems the most likely result here, with the Australians 127 runs ahead with seven wickets still the bag. The chances of the Aussies being bowled out and the hosts chasing down the runs inside of what is likely to be a shortened day seems unlikely. Stranger things have happened though.
Early news on the weather is positive in that it's not raining but it is overcast and we're scheduled to get some thundershowers later in the day.
