•

    Over 30 Jadeja 0-1-W-0-1-0

152-2 - Wicket! Just has he was hitting his straps, Lamb perishes to a shaky lbw decision. Struck well enough in front of the stumps, yes, but Jadeja bowled that extremely wide of the crease and the ball appeared to be sliding down the leg-side. So be it and next in is ODI debutant Ervine, whose innings must be all about playing second fiddle to Taylor.

  •

    Over 29 Vinay 1-2-2-1-1-0

150-1 - Much better from Lamb and Taylor, who show some eventual intent with some flourishing strokeplay. Lamb, in particular, takes advantage of a couple of twos through midwicket.

  •

    Over 28 Jadeja 0-0-0-0-1-0

143-1 - Jadeja back into the attack and - as usual - whizzes through his over in less than two minutes. Zimbabwe quickly doing 'emselves a dirty with a string of quiet overs. Mind you, they still have their batting Powerplay in hand.

  •

    Over 27 Vinay 0-0-0-1-1-1

142-1 - Like Yadav, fellow ODI debutant Vinay is afforded the chance to bounce back from a torrid opening spell. And that he does, keeping Taylor quiet before a slight adjustment in line allows a trio of belated singles. Captain and pinch-hitter Chigumbura might want to consider sending himself in next...

  •

    Over 26 Yadav 0-1-0-0-0-1

139-1 - It's all well and good ensuring the singles but when there's only two of 'em in an over it mounts the pressure somewhat. Asking rate now sitting at 6.08. Zimbabwe don't want that spooning toward the seven-run mark too soon.

  •

    Over 25 Yusuf 1-1-1-1-0-1

137-1 - No frills, no fuss, just five singles tickled, nurdled and nudged from Taylor and sidekick. It's all about setting the innings up for the last-gasp chase in about 20 overs' time...

  •

    Over 24 Yadav 0-1-0-0-1-1

132-1 - With a man pegged back on the deep midwicket fence, Yadav tries the short ball to Lamb, who is up to the task and simply rolls his wrists over the pull shot for one run. All round a better over from the ODI debutant.

  •

    Over 23 Yusuf 1-1-0-2-1-1

129-1 - Third spinner of the innings enters the attack. It's the right-arm trundle of Pathan, who offers a decent line and length but very little on the turn front. Taylor and Lamb adjust their sights to the slower stuff being churned out accordingly, milking the gaps on offer with relative ease.

  •

    Over 22 Yadav 1-4-0-0-0-1

123-1 - Yadav almost sneaks past Lamb, who gets his bat in the way of a handy leg-cutter at the last moment, leaving Taylor to pounce on some errant width through backward point for four and then steal the strike away from his struggling partner (just as well) with a single down the ground.

  •

    Over 21 Mishra 1-0-0-0-1-0

117-1 - Taylor tries his best to force the pace down the ground but is entirely thwarted by Mishra's flight and variation. At one point the half-centurion resorts to a near-one handed slap but, obviously, that goes nowhere either.

  •

    Over 20 Yadav 0-0-1-2lb-0-2

115-1 - Raina affords seamer Yadav the chance to bounce back from a torrid first spell. His return over is decent to begin with before an ugly leg-side wide spoils things a bit. Meanwhile, Lamb - more worried about the positioning of the sightscreen than keeping an eye on the ball - cops a blow to the chest thanks to some startling nip off the seam.

  •

    Over 19 Mishra 0-0-0-3-0-1

110-1 - Lamb insists on the cross-bat shot again and it's only a matter of time before he lands himself in more trouble, me thinks. With the amount of additional bounce the leg-spinner is finding, India are always in with a chance.

  •

    Over 18 Jadeja 1-0-1-0-1-1

106-1 - Tayor moves to his half-ton with a casual single down the ground. 50 balls, three fours and two sixes to get to this one, which is the 18th of his ODI career. How dearly he'd like to turn it into the second century of his 97-ODI stay.

  •

    Over 17 Mishra 1-1-1-0-0-2

102-1 - The spinners are stifling the life out of Zimbabwe's knock, so Lamb tries to combat this with some innovation across the line. He is nowhere close to the pitch of the delivery though and looks on in despair as the ball balloons over the wicketkeeper's head. Luckily for dear Greg, the solitary slip in place can't get to the possible catch and instead cleans up two runs on the bounce.

  •

    Over 16 Jadeja 0-0-1-1-0-1

97-1 - Pretty attacking field for the time being, meaning there are a decent amount of gaps on offer in the deep. Lamb and Taylor take advantage with a string of singles; the former getting off the mark and the latter striding toward a half-century.

  •

    Over 15 Mishra 1-0-0-1lb-0-1

94-1 - More of the struggled same from the Zimbabweans, who have slowed considerably since the introduction of the spinners. So ends the bowling Powerplay - 26 for one from it.

  •

    Over 14 Jadeja 0-0-1-0-1lb-1

91-1 - All too aware that Zimbabwe are renonwed for collapsing after good starts, Lamb and Taylor make sure to steady ship in the wake of Masakadza's departure, for this over at least.

  •

    Over 13 Mishra 1lb-1-0-0-4-W

88-1 - Absolutely no need for such innovation right now but Masakadza reckons the reverse-sweep is in order. He gets it all wrong and is instead struck on the toe. With his heart in his mouth, he watches on as the umpire turns down the lbw shout; slipping past the stumps evidently. Wicket! He is gone the next time around though, as the right-hander's utter inability to pick the wrong'un sees the ball snipe through the gate and rattle the leg-stump. So ends a great opening stand and in comes Lamb.

  •

    Over 12 Jadeja 0-4-1-1-2-1

82-0 - Keen to add to his half-ton earlier in the day with a couple of wickets, Jadeja enters the attack with his left-arm turn. He almost strikes in an instant as Masakadza looks for the long, straight hit but only succeeds in offering a return chance, which the bowler cannot hang onto. Would've been a blinder had he clung on but instead it's four runs.

  •

    Over 11 Mishra 3-0-0-1-1-0

73-0 - With his fast bowlers chasing leather to all corners, Raina decides it's time for a bit of slow bowling in the form of his number one leg-spinner as well as the bowling Powerplay. Masakadza finds an early three through midwicket before Taylor's lack of timing off the front foot closes the over on the quiet.

  •

    Over 10 Vinay 0-6-0-0-6-4

68-0 - Vinay is far too pedestrian to be bowling short balls on a sluggish track and duly fetches six over midwicket before some over-correction in length cops six more over long-on. Taylor is in full swing now and rounds off a very expensive over - for India, that is - with four crashed through point. Zimbabwe going at it all guns blazing and well on course for victory. Their middle-order depth - or lack thereof - will prove the most telling, though. So ends the first Powerplay.

  •

    Over 9 Dinda 0-1-4-1-0-1

52-0 - Oooh, nearly disaster for Zimbabwe as Taylor dabs the ball into the leg side, Masakadza thinks there is a run in it and is halfway down the track before he's sent back, the through isn't the greatest but Dinda can't gather it as he breaks the stumps without the ball. Stand and deliver stuff from Masakadza as he absolutely creams a drive wide of mid off to bring up the Zimbabwe fifty, the home side are off to a good start. A short ball from Dinda to end the over, Taylor is in full control as he works it to fine leg for a single.

  •

    Over 8 Yadav 0-0-2-6-0-0

45-0 - Masakadza digs out a full delivery in the direction of mid on who runs in quickly to try and affect the run out, but in his haste falls to gather the ball and gets two. Yadav strays onto the pads and he's punished with Masakadza flicking the ball off his hips for a great six, the first of the innings. Yadav ends the over well, beating Masakadza as he looks to crack the ball down the ground.

  •

    Over 7 Dinda 3-0-2-0-1-0

37-0 - Nicely played by Taylor as he punches the ball through the covers, he doesn't quite get enough on it and picks up three. Two more to Masakadza, again it's a short ball and he looks to pull, he doesn't get much on it but as the ball flies into the outfield he gets two.

  •

    Over 6 Yadav 0-1-1-4-1-0

31-0 - A change of bowling now with Umesh Yadav entering the attack. Taylor unconvincingly angles the ball to third man for a single. Shouts of catch as one gets big on Masakadza and he tries to hook it away but only succeeds in looping the ball to where short fine leg would be. Great shot from Taylor as he hooks powerfully to the square leg fence.

  •

    Over 5 Dinda 0-3-0-0-0-0

24-0 - Dinda gets one to move slightly away from Taylor and the opener is beaten. That's probably the first time a ball has beaten the outside edge today. The bowler strays onto the pads and it costs him three through square leg. Raina is moving his field around all the time. The second slip has come out and moved to short cover. Masakadza has a swing and miss at a slower delivery.

  •

    Over 4 Vinay Kumar 0-0-1-2-0-4

21-0 - Tidy start from Zimbabwe. The second slip has now moved to gully for Taylor. The opener scambers a quick single to mid-off. His partner times one between extra cover and mid-off and comes back for a second. Masakadza gets the final ball through the packed off-side again and this time he gets four.

  •

    Over 3 Dinda 1-0-0-1-0-4

14-0 - Masakadza continues to milk the singles. Taylor gets himself in a spot of bother. He looks to steer it down to third, but his feet were nowhere. He gets to the other end with one to extra cover. Masakadza gets his first boundary as he goes through the vacant deep midwicket region.

  •

    Over 2 Vinay Kumar 0-1-0-0-0-2

8-0 - Yadav - one of three Indian ODI debutants in this game - shares the new ball. He also has two slips in place. Masakadza takes another quick single, this time to mid-on. Taylor wants to take a risky single to the bowler, but his partner sends him back. Better stuff as he gets a couple to third man's right.

  •

    Over 1 Dinda 0-0-0-0-1-4

5-0 - Dinda - he with the sweatband - has two slips in place. He lands his first few balls in a good area and Masakadza defends. Zimbabwe are finally on the board as Masakadza drops his bat and sets off for the quick single. Shot! Too straight and Taylor whips it through midwicket for the first boundary of the innings.

  •

    Good to go again

Hamilton Masakdaza and Brendan Taylor are opening the innings for Zimbabwe. Debutant Ashok Dinda will send down the first over.

  •

    Welcome back

Zimbabwe's reply is about to get underway. The hosts really let things slip away badly in the final 15 overs or two. It will be a big ask.

  • India 285 for five

It's been a pretty weird Indian innings. Their openers didn't have to do much to do as Elton Chigumbura gifted them about 25 runs in just one over. India then suffered a mini collapse and it was left to Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina to dig them out of a hole. Sharma went on to score his maiden century while Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with a half-ton to take them to 285. Zimbabwe will need to bat out of the skins if they want to win this one. Do join us again in about 30m for the reply.

  •

    Over 50 Mpofu 2-4-4-1-0-1

285-5 - Final over coming up and Christopher Mpofu will send it down. He started well, but has conceded plenty in the last few overs. Jadeja goes airborn, but only gets two to long-off. He then smashes it straight down the ground and through deep midwicket for back-to-back fours. He finally mistimes a shot and gets one to long-on. The innings ends with a couple of short balls which Pathan decides to let go. Well that was a let down.

  •

    Over 49 Utseya 0-1-6-4-1-1

274-5 - Former skipper Prosper Utseya will bowl the penultimate over. Jadeja edges closer to his half-century with a single to deep midwicket. Pathan middles it straight down the ground for six. Next ball is cracked over extra cover for four. Jadeja goes to his 50 off 57b, 3x4 with a single down the ground.

  •

    Over 48 Mpofu 2-1-1-4-W-0

261-5 - A misfield at extra cover gives Jadeja a couple. After a single, Sharma takes two down teh ground before edging a full toss wide of the keeper for four. WICKET! Sharma's classy innings comes to an end. Dropped short by Mpofu and Sharma goes for a pull. He mistimes it and skies it to short fine. The keeper runs around to take a pretty decent catch. Yusuf Pathan is the new batsman.

  •

    Over 47 Price 0-4-1-6-2-4

251-4 - Jadeja gets four down to the deep midwicket fence. The ball was on his legs and was asking to be put away. Full toss, but this time it's just a single. Sharma gets six number four, this he plays a lovely pulls hot. The boundary takes him to 102 off 114b, 4x6, 4x4. It's his maiden ODI ton. It's been a brilliantly paced innings from Sharma. Remember when didn't score a single boundary in his first 50 and that came of 85 balls. The final ball is swept away through square leg for four more.

  •

    Over 46 Mpofu 1-6-0-1-2-1

234-4 - Mpofu continues despite going for 17 in his previous over. Sharma middles a full toss over the deep midwicket fence for six. That one went a mile. Zimbabwe are losing their way slightly here. Missed chance! Jadeja top edges a sweep, but it falls short of the man at deep midwicket.

  •

    Over 45 Price 1-1-1-4-0-1

223-4 - The scoring racte has really picked up for India in the last few overs. After a couple of singles, Jadeja pulls through over extra cover for four.

  •

    Over 44 Mpofu 1-4-1-6-4-1

215-4 - Chris Mpofu comes back into the attack. He conceded just 15 in six cover. Sharma takes a single through deep midwicket. Jadeja stands and delivers, but he mistimes it and it just clears the man at mid-off. Next ball is a full toss and it's hammered to long-on for one. Mpofu goes short and Sharma skies it down to fine leg. The man on the boundary has no chance as it's six. Bowler goes full and this time it's beautifully placed wide of point for four.

  •

    Over 43 Price 1-0-4-0-1-0

198-4 - India have decided to take their batting Powerplay. Zimbabwe respond by taking Utseya out of the attack and bringing the evergreen Ray Price back on. Jadeja gets one to square leg while Sharma goes over extra cover for four before taking one down the ground.

  •

    Over 42 Price 1-1-4-1-1-0

192-4 - After a couple of singles, Sharma opens up again and goes down to the square leg fence for four. It's back to singles after that.

  •

    Over 41 Utseya 0-1-0-3-2-0

184-4 - Prosper Utseya is back. He only has two overs left. Big shout for lbw as Sharma mistimes his sweep. The right-hander gets off strike next ball with one down to long-on. Jadeja cuts and its the short fine leg and comes back for a third. His partner gets a couple through extra cover and one down the ground.

  •

    Over 40 Price 6-0-0-1-0-0

177-4 - Lamb drops teh first ball short and Sharma goes over the square leg fence for six. That's his first boundary of the day. It's also the first six the Indian innings. Now is the time to kick on. Sharma gets off strike with one to deep square leg.

  •

    Over 39 Price 1-0-2-0-1-1

170-4 - Price comes back into the attack and Sharma pushes him to long-on for a single. Jadeja takes a couple through midwicket and then goes to the same area again, but he picks out the man and it's just a single. The final ball is beautifully played through extra cover, but it's once again just a single.

  •

    Over 38 Lamb 1-4-1-0-1-1

165-4 - India still have a batting Powerplay in hand. After Jadeja takes one down the ground, Sharma opens up by pulling through midwicket for four. He then takes a single to extra cover to his 50 off 85b. His half-ton includes zero boundaries. Pretty impressive.

  •

    Over 37 Blignaut 0-0-2-2-0-1

157-4 - We'll have another bowling change as veteran Andy Blignaut gets a chance to bowl some medium pacers. He starts with a couple of dot balls and then Jadeja takes a couple to deep backward point and two through midwicket.

  •

    Over 36 Lamb 2-0-0-1wd-1-1-1

152-4 - Two more to the total as Jadeja hits it to fine leg. Ooh! He nearly chips it straight back to the bowler next ball and then wanders down the track. He gets sent back, but the throw isn't good enough. The 150 is on the board after a wide and a single to cover point. It's time for a drink.

  •

    Over 35 Utseya 0-2-0-0-1-1

146-4 - Prosper Utseya comes back into the attack. His first seven overs went for just 22. A misfield on the point boundary gives Sharma a couple. The over ends with a couple of quick singles.

  •

    Over 34 Lamb 2-1-0-0-1-1

142-4 - Sharma goes over extra cover for a couple and then takes a quick single to the leg.

  •

    Over 33 Cremer 0-0-1-0-1-1

137-4 - Sharma goes inside out, but it's just a single to the left of long-off. He is yet to hit one from the middle of the bat. In fact he is yet to hit a boundary today. Over ends with a couple more singles.

  •

    Over 32 Lamb 1-0-1-0-1-0

134-4 - Mpofu is out of the attack after his successful comeback over and back on comes Greg Lamb. Sharma takes one to short midwicket. Zim skipper Chigumbura decides to employ a sllip for Jadeja. Lamb's too straight and Jadeja just tucks it to the leg side for one.

  •

    Over 31 Cremer 1-0-0-1-0-1

131-4 - Ravindra Jadeja is the new batsman. Sharma takes a quick single to cover point. The new man takes a few balls to settle before taking one to midwicket.

  •

    Over 30 Mpofu 0-1-1-1-1-W

128-4 - We will have a change in bowling and pace as Chris Mpofu comes into the attack. He was brilliant earlier, conceding just 12 in his five overs. The Indian batsman take another risky single, but there's no direct hit this time. WICKET! Mpofu is reward for brilliant bowling. He digs it in short and it's slightly wide outside off. Raina goes after it, looking to flap it over point but ends up getting a thick nick through to the keeper.

  •

    Over 29 Cremer 1-0-2-1-1-2

125-3 - Zimbabwe's three spinners have done well. India will not be too unhappy with that as they have five players in their team who can bowl spin. Sharma has his dancing shoes on again and hits it straight down the ground. There are cries of "catch", but it falls a few metres short of the man at long-on. Raina gets a couple through point. The Indian skipper pulls the final ball, but there's more good fielding on the boundary and it's just two runs.

  •

    Over 28 Price 0-0-1-1-1-0

118-3 - The Indian run rate is still just over four to the over. Besides stopping Indian from hitting boundaries, Zimbabwe's bowlers have also stopped bowling wides. Price keeps it down to the singles again.

  •

    Over 27 Cremer 4-1-1-0-1-1

115-3 - I think the Indians are ready to put their foot on the accelerator. The skipper goes over midwicket and there's a man on the fence, but he's well wide of him and it's four. That's the first boundary in quite some time. They milk more singles after that.

  •

    Over 26 Price 1-0-2-1-1-0

107-3 - The experienced Raymont Price comes back into the attack. He went for nine in his first four overs. Raina milks one down the ground. Sharma plays another shot in anger and it's nearly a caught and bowl chance for Price. He struck it too hard though and it fizzes past the bowler's head.

  •

    Over 25 Cremer 0-1-0-0-1-2

102-3 - We've reached the half-way stage in the Indian innings and the visitors are yet to get to the 100-run mark. The run rate is now just over four to the over. Cremer tosses one up and Sharma pushes it hard down the ground for one. The 100 finally comes up with one through midwicket. Sharma plays a nice leg glance off teh final ball for a couple.

  •

    Over 24 Lamb 1-0-1-0-0-1

98-3 - Sharma smashes it hard into the stumps and the ball ricochets away to long-on for a single. Two more singles.

  •

    Over 23 Cremer 1-1-0-0-0-1

95-3 - The two Indian batsmen milk two singles from the first two balls, but then Sharma gets bogged down again and needs another couple of balls before taking one to long-on.

  •

    Over 22 Lamb 1-0-1-0-1-0

92-3 - Sharma finally plays a shot in anger, marching down the track, but it's only a single to long-off. Raina gets it wide of square leg for one.

  •

    Over 21 Cremer 1-1-0-1-0-1

89-3 - Bowling change sees Graeme Cremer on for Prosper Utseya. Raina plays an uppish drive, but there's no one in the cover region and he gets a single. Sharma pushes the ball down the ground and his skipper does likewise a couple of balls later. Final ball is smashed down the ground, but it's only a single.

  •

    Over 20 Lamb 0-0-0-0-4-1

85-3 - Lamb continues to tighten the screws as he keeps Raina on strike for a couple of balls. He drops one wide and the Indian skipper goes after it, but misses the ball. Follows it up with good fielding off his own bowling. Raina has had enough and he uses his feet and goes inside out over deep extra cover for four.

  •

    Over 19 Utseya 0-0-1-1-0-0

80-3 - Sharma is really struggling to get teh ball away at will here. His strike rate is just under 30 at the moment. No timing in his shots. He takes a couple of balls to get to the other end. His skipper needs only one ball to take a single through cover.

  •

    Over 18 Lamb 1-1-0-0-0-1

78-3 - Good running between the wickets as Sharma takes a quick single to short fine leg. Raina plays a elegant shot through cover for a single. Over ends with one down the ground.

  •

    Over 17 Utseya 1-1-1-0-1-2

75-3 - The Indian scoring rate has dropped to below five to the over. This has really been an excellent comeback by the Zimbabwean bowlers following Chigumbura's nightmare second over. Utseya keeps it down to singles and a two. It's time for a drinks break.

  •

    Over 16 Lamb 0-0-0-0-1-0

69-3 - More tidy work from Lamb as he keeps Raina quiet for the first five balls. Only a misfield at point gets the Indian skipper off strike.

  •

    Over 15 Utseya 1-1-0-1-0-1

68-3 - Finally some good rotation of the strike between Raina and Sharma.

  •

    Over 14 Lamb 0-1-0-0-1-0

64-3 - Ray Price gets a break and Greg Lamb comes into the attack. This is the penultimate over in the bowling Powerplay. Raina drives firmly down the ground for one. His partner needs three balls before he takes a single to short third man. More poor running between the wickets from the Indian batsmen. Raina plays it straight to mid-off and sets off. He gets sent back, but luckily the throw is wide.

  •

    Over 13 Utseya 1-1-W-0-0-1

62-3 - India get another couple of easy singles, the latter finally gets Sharma off teh mark. WICKET! Would you believe it, Zimbabwe strikes again. Good piece of bowling from Utseya as he drops it wide outside off. Karthik looks to cut, but gets a faint edge and Taylor does the rest behind the stumps. Suresh Raina joins Sharma in the middle.

  •

    Over 12 Price 0-1-0-0-0-0

59-2 - Price drops it short and Karthik goes for a pull, but he just gets it over short midwicket for one. Sharma is yet to get off the mark.

  •

    Over 11 Utseya 1-0-0-0-0-0

58-2 - We will have a change of bowling as Prosper Utseya comes into the attack. Zim have also decided to take their bowling Powerplay following the fall of those two quick wickets. It's a tidy from the former skipper as he keeps it down to just a single.

  •

    Over 10 Price wd-0-0-W-0-0-0

57-2 - Price starts with another wide. That's number 24. WICLET! Zimbabwe make it two run outs in two overs. Karthik reverse sweeps and they decide to take on the arm of short third man. Chigumbura though is onto the ball in a flash and there's a direct hit. Kohli puts in the dive, but he's still short and he goes without facing a ball. Good comeback from Zimbabwe this. Rohit Sharma is the new man and Price gets a few balls to turn.

  •

    Over 9 Mpofu 0-0-0-1-0-1W

56-1 - Mpofu bowls another shorter one and Karthik pulls out of it, thinking it will be called a wide, but he's mistaken. The opener gets to the other end with one to the leg. WICKET! Karthik takes one behind square and Vijay turns for a second run, but gets sent back. Taylor catches the ball over his head and flicks it onto his stumps. Vijay was pretty casual in returning to his crease and replays find him short. Good piece of work by Taylor.

  •

    Over 8 Price wd-0-0-1-1-1-0

53-0 India's 50 comes up with wide number 24. Price is rightly furious with himself. The two openers rotate the strike with a couple of singles down the ground and through square leg.

  •

    Over 7 Mpofu 0-wd-0-1-1-0-1

49-0 - Mpofu continues and Karthik tucks him to fine leg for one. He tries another shorter one, but it's down the leg side and it's wide number 23 in only the seventh over. At least he was trying something. Karthik drops his bat and takes a quick single to mid-on. Final ball is pushed into the covers for one. Another good over from Mpofu.

  •

    Over 6 Price 0-wd-wd-0-0-1-0-0

45-0 - We'll have a bowling change and it's not a surprise after Chigumbura's shocker in the fifth over. What is maybe surprising is that it will be spin with Ray Price. The spinner also goes down the leg side a couple of times and the umpire has more work to do. Karthik finally makes contact with the ball and takes one to midwicket. Good start, except for the wides of course.

    Over 5 Mpofu 0-0-1-1lb-0-0

42-0 - Mpofu's hard work in the third over was undone by his skipper. Hopefully he can drag things slightly back again this over. Vijay tucks it to midwicket for one. Mpofu tests Karthik with a shorter one and he mistimes his pull over point. He was hit on the helmet. We know the Indians don't like to very short. Another excellent over from Mpofu.

    Over 4 Chigumbura wd-3wd-0-4-wd-5wd-5wd-3nb-1-2-1-0

40-0 - Can Chigumbura follow up Mpofu's maiden with a tidy over of his own. He doesn't get off to the best of starts as he goes down the leg side again for three wides. Keeper Brendan Taylor can't get there. Short and wide and slapped away for four. I think we'll see a bowling change very soon from this end. Wide again and Taylor does well to stop it. Oh dear! More balls down the leg side and more wides. Heath Streak is not very happy in the dressing room. He stops with a wides for a moment, but he oversteps and also gets clipped to fine leg for a couple. The free hit is skied and the catch is taken, but of course it's not out. Couple more easy runs and the over finally ends. That was a long one.

    Over 3 Mpofu 0-0-0-0-0-0

14-0 - Better stuff from Mpofu as he keeps the ball just outside off, giving Vijay no room to free his arms. Nicely done as he keeps Vijay scoreless for the over.

  •

    Over 2 Chigumbura 4-5wd-0-0-0-1-0

14-0 - Captain Elton Chigumbura shares the new ball and he also has two slips in place. He starts with a poor ball wide outside off and Murali Vijay doesn't hang around, cracking it over cover for his first runs of the morning. The skip' then goes wide down the leg side and the keeper can't gather and it's five wides. Poor start from Chigumbura. A few dot balls is followed up by one on the legs which the batsman clips to fine leg.

  •

    Over 1 Mpofu 0-0-0-0-4-0

4-0 - Two slips in place, but no gully in for the Karthik. The right-handed opener defends with a pretty straight bat for the first four balls of the over. Mpofu goes short and Karthik helps himself to four over point. Was a rubbish ball - short and wide - and was put away.

    Toss

India captain Suresh Raina has won the toss and elected to make first use of the Bulawayo track. His Zim counterpart Elton Chigumbura isn't too worried about losing the toss though.

    Second stringers

What do you make of India and Sri Lanka's decision to send understrength sides to Zimbabwe? It's a good series to blood youngsters. What about Zim? Do they stand a chance of pulling off an upset or two?

    Busy day ahead

Besides this match in Bulawayo, there's a Test taking place at Lord's between England and Bangladesh while later today the West Indies will host South Africa in the third ODI.

  •

    Zim back on big stage

This is the first match on Zimbabwean soil featuring one of the "top" Test teams in almost two years. If memory serves me correct, then Sri Lanka were the last team to play here and that was way back in 2008. Of course, Bangladesh have played a couple of ODIs recently.
