Paul Smith will fight Arthur Abraham for the WBO super -middleweight world title

Paul Smith will have a huge travelling support as he takes on Arthur Abraham out in Germany for the second time.

Live Saturday Fight Night

The Liverpudlian could have anything between 1,000 and 2,000 fight fans cheering him on in his world title rematch at the O2 Arena in Berlin, live on Sky Sports 3 tonight.

The arena holds 17,000 and with Smith, fellow scouser David Price and Leeds figher Josh Warrington all behind him, the super-middleweight challenger has plenty of support.

British supporters took over the weigh-in at the Berlin Mall on Friday afternoon and although Smith, who came in at 11st 11lbs left straight after the face-off, promoter Eddie Hearn is expecting a special atmosphere,

"We know we've got the noise," he said when asked about tonight.

"Paul Smith bought hundreds of Liverpool fans and Josh Warrington brought hundreds of Leeds fans as well.

"That is going to help. That helps a lot. It is going to be an electric atmosphere in there."

More from Abraham V Smith

Price, who also weighed in with no problem at all, has a regular fan base that are now making the trip to Germany more than for any other British fighter.

He expects the travelling support to be "closer to a couple of thousand" while Warrington admits he would've brought more fans with him had he not had a big fight in Leeds in six weeks' time.

And Hearn believes it is going to be a memorable night - in and out of the ring.

"This is the first show of the new Sauerlands’ promotional contract, so it is going be off the scale."

You can watch Paul Smith's world title challenge against Arthur Abraham this Saturday night, starting at 7.20pm on Sky Sports 3.
