Carl Froch is rolling back the years as he gets ready to face bitter rival George Groves again.

The 36-year-old IBF and WBA super-middleweight world champion is in camp with the Sky Sports Box Office showdown still five weeks away.

"I am thinking about nothing else except myself. Nobody else, not my opponent, not really my family."

Froch is spending Monday to Friday in Sheffield with trainer Rob McCracken then returning home to Nottingham to spend the weekend with his family.

All the careful preparation and planning is being done to make sure he doesn't make the same mistake he made in the build-up to the first fight with Groves.

This time around he is fully focused on one thing and one thing only - beating Groves again.

Focus

"This is how I used to train probably three or four years ago," he told Ringside.

"The first fight I did this for was Arthur Abraham, but the main thing is that being away from home is good, because there is nothing else to focus on other than myself and boxing.

"I am thinking about nothing else except myself. Nobody else, not my opponent, not really my family.

"I am really, really enjoying it. I'm not sort of missing home, I'm enjoying being on camp and I think when you endure anything you do it well and you do it to the best of your abilities.

"That's what I am doing. It's bad news for Mr Groves."
