James DeGale has been given a taste of Dirrell family hospitality ahead of his world title fight with Andre Dirrell on Saturday night in Boston.
DeGale was taking part in his open workout for the media with his trainer Jim McDonnell when in walked Andre's brother Willie.
The Dirrell sibling taunted from outside the ring: "The champ is here. The champ is here. You're a loser. You're a loser. You're a loser Saturday night."
Londoner DeGale is hoping to become the first Briton to win Olympic gold and a world professional boxing title in Saturday night's IBF super-middleweight fight for the vacant crown in Boston, Massachusetts.
And, after a straightforward training camp in Miami, DeGale was unfazed by the Dirrell sibling's jibes.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "Typical flash, loud Americans. He's been commenting on my Instagram status for the past six months, I swear to God, just chanting rubbish.
"This isn't even Anthony, it's another brother Willie. They don't have a clue. It seems the one that's not fighting has always got the mouth.
"Listen I'm relaxed, chilled and ready. I won Olympic gold. The skills are crazy, but I've got to be on my game, and mentally ready, and I am.
"I'm physically and mentally in the right place, right now and I've got to do it. Saturday is fight time, and I'm making history."
Watch DeGale v Dirrell live on Sky Sports 1, from 8.00pm, this Saturday.
