James DeGale v Andre Dirrell will be on prime time Saturday night, live on Sky Sports

World title fight due to start around 9.30pm GMT

James DeGale's world title fight will be live on Saturday night prime time here on Sky Sports.

The super-middleweight's vacant IBF showdown with American Andre Dirrell will be live on Sky Sports 1 HD around 9.30pm BST.

Our coverage begins at 8pm to begin the build-up on a night when DeGale can make history by becoming the first British boxer to win an Olympic gold medal and a world title.

"It's peak time, live on Sky Sports, so make sure you all tune in and watch me make history," said DeGale.

DeGale takes on Dirrell at the Aggonis Arena in Boston and is expected to be the first live fight, the perfect opportunity with the eyes of America watching on national television.

The Sky Sports coverage will have former IBF champion Carl Froch - who beat Dirrell in 2009 - and Glenn McCrory in the studio.
