Tony Thompson wants to fight Anthony Joshua and complete his hat-trick of wins over Olympic medallists.

The veteran heavyweight stopped 2004 gold medallist Odlanier Solis at the weekend and beat Britain's David Price, who won a bronze in 2008, in back-to-back wins two years ago.

Thompson, 43, dubbed himself the "Olympic killer" and also added new WBC world champion Deontay Wilder, who picked up a bronze in Beijing, to his list.

But the man who has twice challenged world champion Wladimir Klitschko admits that although Joshua "has all the skills", he wants to fight him first.

"He is a very powerful guy, a very skilful guy," he told Toe2Toe podcast.

"I think the world of him - but I am looking forward to getting in the ring and upsetting people again.

"What he lacks is experience. Everything else he has: speed, skill, power and he's got youthfulness on his side. But again I am just counting on my greater knowledge of experience.

"Anthony Joshua has graduated to the College of Boxing; I am on the PhD of Boxing right now! So right now it's no contest.

"If his people think he is ready for the lessons I will give him - and it will be a mistake on their part - he is just not ready."

Joshua is in full training again following a serious back injury and wants to fight twice next month, in Newcastle and the O2 Arena, London.

Wilder though, who was crowned WBC champion in January, is looking for a summer defence and with Thompson in the top 15 rankings, the Tiger has set his sights on a dream double.

"I think the best way to fill this year is to beat an Olympian in Joshua, then beat another Olympian in Deontay Wilder," he said.

"I guess you can call me the Olympian killer!"

Joshua has responded to Thompson's challenge, by tweeting: "I like the idea of boxing Tony Thompson in the near future. Be a great statement. I ALWAYS! Forward these offers across to my coach."
