Carl Frampton and Chris Avalos both made the weight at a fiery head-to-head ahead of their world title showdown in Belfast.

The IBF super-bantamweight came in spot on the 8st 10lbs limit, while the American challenger had to strip naked to get inside the mark, eventually coming in at 8st 9lbs 9oz.

It was then Avalos and Frampton went face-to-face, swapped insults and pushed each other before being separated on stage at the Europa Hotel, ahead of Saturday’s bout at the city’s Odyssey Arena.

The final meeting before the fight was a heated affair with Frampton later tweeting that Avalos’ mother had spat her chewing gum at him.
