British welterweight champion Frankie Gavin is targeting Kell Brook's world title after joining Eddie Hearn's Matchroom stable.
The Birmingham southpaw's first fight under the Matchroom banner will be on the undercard undercard of Brook's IBF title defence against Jo Jo Dan on March 28, live on Sky Sports.
A hometown show at Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena follows on May 9, when Gavin is hoping for a second shot at the European title he failed to take from Leonard Bundu last year.
And the 29-year-old told Sky Sports News HQ his longer-term aim is a chance to challenge for his new stablemate's belt.
"Matchroom are the platform to world level," he said. "When you talk about boxing everyone talks about Matchroom and Sky, and now I'm on that so hopefully there'll be big things for me.
"I'm a rankings-high, at the moment - I've gone No 5 with the IBF, the title Kell's got, but there's no No 2 so really I'm No 4.

"Obviously Eddie's got both of us, so it's down to him to make the fight and obviously down to me to make my profile better. A couple of good performances and it's up to Eddie."
The Birmingham bill - Matchroom's first in the city since 1992 - will also feature another local favourite Matthew Macklin, who considered his future after he was stopped by Jorge Sebastian Heiland in November.
Hearn said: "Firstly to Frankie Gavin - welcome to the team! Frankie has long been one of the most talented fighters in the country and now it's time to shine. I haven't seen him smile for a long time and now it's ‘Funtime’; time to enjoy his career, the exposure and the big lights.
"I have lost count of the number of tweets or messages I have had asking us to come to Birmingham and now the waiting is over!"
Macklin will be fighting in Birmingham after a five-year absence as part of a card also featuring the Yafai brothers, Kal and Gamal, and Stourbridge's welterweight prospect Sam Eggington.
Eggington will be hoping for a shot at a title if he beats Shayne Singleton in Hull on March 7, and Gavin says two of his belts could be up for grabs by then.
"I want to leave the domestic level behind me now," he said. "Who knows? I might give the British and Commonwealth (titles) away and let Eggington fight for them in May, let him move on with his career."
