Manny Pacquiao has agreed a deal to fight American Chris Algieri in Macau in the autumn.

The superstar will defend the WBO welterweight title against the undefeated New Yorker at the Venetian Casino & Resort on November 22.

Pacquiao returns to the same venue where he won the title - for the second time - with a one-sided points victory over Brandon Rios last November.

The 35-year-old lost the WBO title to Timothy Bradley in June 2012, but avenged the defeat in April this year to become a world champion again.

“We have a deal. On my end, it wasn’t a hard deal at all,” confirmed Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum.

Algieri holds the light-welterweight version of the WBO title following a sensational and emotional points win over Ruslan Provodnikov at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn this summer.

The 30-year-old had never boxed for, never mind won, a professional title before but is hoping to produce another stunning upset.

“I wanted this fight," said Algieri. "This will change my life once again, and I welcome the future.”

His promoter Joe DeGuardia added: “We have a deal. We’ve come to an agreement on all terms and with all parties and now, we’re just waiting to paper it up. And we’re looking forward to the fight."
