Shawn Porter's promoter insists the IBF champion is not 'worried' about Kell Brook after he defended his title with a ruthless stoppage of Paulie Malignaggi.
Porter took just four rounds to halt Malignaggi, who needed hospital treatment after he was floored twice in the welterweight clash in Washington.
His next fight will be against Brook, a mandatory challenger, and the American must face the Sheffield man before July 19.
An unbeaten run of 32 fights has propelled 'Special K' up the rankings, but Golden Boy promoter Richard Schaefer does not believe he can threaten Porter's reign.
When asked about Brook, Schaefer said: "If he is next in line. If he is, then he is. We're not really worried about anybody."
Reflecting on a possible future venue for Porter, nicknamed 'Showtime', Schaefer suggested he could defend his title in Las Vegas.
"It's Showtime and I want to take Showtime to Las Vegas," he said. "It's my dream, but we haven't really talked about it. I always like to have these conversations with the athletes."
Sky's the limit
Porter has plenty of 147lb rivals, including the world's No 1 fighter Floyd Mayweather, and Schaefer believes the pair could meet before the 37-year-old star hangs up his gloves.
"The Sky's the limit. I see big fights," said Schaefer.
"Clearly he's one of the best welterweights now and I think a threat to everyone after you've seen what he's done with Devon Alexander, another wonderful fighter, and following that up with Paulie Malignaggi. It's the hottest weight class."
"We'll discuss it with team Porter and why not? Me as a fan, after we've seen what he's done with Devon, who is an outstanding boxer, and what he's done with Paulie, who is an outstanding boxer and Floyd is the best boxer from a boxing point of view.
"I'd love to see the match-up with someone as young, as aggressive, as relentless as Shawn Porter."
Brook was impressed with Porter's win, but remains confident he can rip away the world title in the summer.
He tweeted: "Great performance @ShowtimeShawnP lets see how you are with me! who is also a young lion!"
