Grzegorz Proksa will battle Matthew Hall in a make-or-break middleweight clash in Manchester.

Proksa and Hall have plenty at stake ahead of their clash on the undercard of Scott Quigg's WBA title defence against Nehomar Cermeno on April 19, live on Sky Sports.

Defeat would deliver a crushing blow to Proksa's title ambitions as he attempts to reach the top again after a failed attempt to take Gennady Golovkin's WBA crown in 2012.

The fearsome Golovkin halted his brave challenger in the fifth round and the Surrey-based Pole cannot afford another slip-up after a points defeat to Sergio Mora last June.

Hall, a former Commonwealth champion, has endured some setbacks himself and threatened to quit after he was stopped by Lukas Konecny in a European title clash in 2010.

The Mancunian earned praise after a battling points defeat to Billy Joe Saunders last March, but will have nowhere to go if he is beaten again by Proksa.

Olympic Gold medal heroes Anthony Joshua and Luke Campbell also feature on a packed undercard as they continue their progress in the professional ranks.

Tyrone Nurse faces Tyler Goodjohn for the vacant English light welterweight title, while unbeaten duo Hosea Burton and Martin J Ward also return to action.
