Brian Rose is on the verge of securing a world title fight with WBO light-middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade.

The date and venue has not been finalised but the fight against the undefeated Andrade is expected to take place on the undercard of Ruslan Provodnikov's next outing, likely in May.

Blackpool's Rose, who won the Lonsdale Belt outright over a year ago, moved into contention to fight for the WBO title with three hard-fought wins in 2013.

"There's a deal been done," he told Boxing News. "It's definitely going to be in America but we're not sure about the venue and we're not sure about the date.

"I'm in training now so as soon as we get a date I'll hit it hard."

Andrade won the vacant title last time out when he came off the canvas in the first round to beat the previously undefeated Vanes Martirosyan in November.
