John Murray: Chance to shine in Glasgow

John Murray will appear on the undercard of Ricky Burns vs Terence Crawford after an injury to Anthony Crolla.

Crolla was due to fight John Simpson on the March 1 Glasgow bill in what was thought to be a warm-up fight for a potential clash with former world title challenger Murray.

However, a cut in training means he will be sidelined for a few weeks, giving Murray the chance to shine at the SECC.

Murray had his first fight in almost two years in November, stopping Spain's Michael Escobar in four rounds, as he looks to resurrect a career that saw him win the British and European lightweight titles.

Crolla will be hoping to have his first outing of the year in his native Manchester on April 19.

The domestic lightweight division is red-hot - with Burns ahead of the chasing pack.
