A broken rib has forced Stephen Simmons to pull out of his WBC International Silver cruiserweight title bout against Wadi Camacho.

The Scot was set to take on Camacho on March 1 in Glasgow on the undercard of Ricky Burns' latest world-title defence.

Simmons wrote on his Twitter account: "Absolutely gutted that I will not be fighting on March 1st due to having a broken rib."

There has been no shortage of animosity between the pair, who nearly came to blows at a media conference to promote the show.

Simmons called the London-based Camacho a "rat" and promised to send him "home in a coma", while Camacho labelled Simmons a "cookie monster".
