Matchroom have ended their association with former Team GB boxer Tom Stalker - but signed prospect Robbie Davies Jr.

Stalker had five fights last year after turning pro but an arm injury that required surgery put him on the sidelines.

His initial promotional contract had expired and the two sides decided to go separate ways.

Matchroom boss Eddie has moved quickly to secure the services of another light-welterweight from Liverpool in Davies Jr, who has a 4-0 slate.

Davies will continue to be promoted by Dave Coldwell, who has worked with Hearn in the past.

"I'm delighted to be working with Eddie and Matchroom with Robbie, he's a young fighter that I believe has huge potential and crossover appeal," said Yorkshire-based Coldwell.

"This link up gives Robbie the Sky Sports platform to show a huge audience what those of us that have seen him already believe."

Hearn added: "I've been really impressed with Robbie and I know Dave rates him highly. We are looking forward to being involved in his journey.

"It has been great working with Tom and we wish him all the best for the future."
