Anthony Joshua has already set his sights on winning a world title ahead of his professional debut on Saturday.
The 23-year-old, who won the super-heavyweight gold medal at the London Olympics, goes up against Italy's Emanuele Leo at the O2 Arena.
Although Leo is unbeaten, he has never fought outside his home country and has faced only one fighter with a winning record.
Joshua is already looking ahead to what he hopes to achieve in the coming years, insisting he is not taking a step into the unknown with his first bout in the paid ranks.
"It's the start of a journey, hopefully it's a great one and we will get that world title, God willing."
"I know what I'm getting into, I know how to prepare for it mentally," he told Sky Sports News.
"That's why I am very relaxed going into October 5. Experiences which I didn't have as an amateur, I have as a professional.
"It's the start of a journey, hopefully it's a great one and we will get that world title, God willing. I'm with a good promotional team and I'm sure they can pull the strings to make it happen."
He added of Leo: "It is what it is, he's coming to fight and I'm coming to fight. We all train, we're all boxers and someone's got to walk out a winner. That's what I'm preparing to be."
Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn believes it was the right decision to put the debutant in against an unbeaten fighter and is ready to give him more testing bouts in the future.
"I wanted him to have a tough test. We're going to try and potentially move him on, he's going learn every time," Hearn said.
"I want someone who is going to come and try to beat Anthony Joshua, because that is when I think you're going to see the sensational performances and knockouts.
"The people don't just want to see bodies in the ring, they want to see people with ambition. Anthony's got a tough fight on Saturday for his opener."
