Darren Barker and Daniel Geale both scaled 159.5lbs ahead of their IBF world middleweight title showdown at the Revel Casino-Hotel in Atlantic City, live on Sky Sports 1 HD tonight.

Australian Geale, 32, will be making his fifth defence of the title and is the 8/13 favourite with Sky Bet to beat the British challenger.

Geale has won 29 of his 30 fights - 15 by knockout - while Barker, 31, has a similar record with 25 wins from 26 bouts, including 16 knockout successes.

Barker will have a slight height advantage but that does not concern Geale.

He told AAP: "I've fought plenty of guys that are taller than me and I actually enjoy it.

"My mental strategy and the ability to break him down is going to be very important.

"I'm not putting any extra pressure on myself where I need to go out and impress or be devastating or anything like that.

"I'm going to be myself however way it goes and we do have a lot of confidence that we will get the job done in a good fashion."

Meanwhile, Barker's trainer Tony Sims expects the Briton to prevail in his second world title challenge in Atlantic City after Sergio Martinez stopped him in the 11th round of their clash in October 2011.

"Mentally and physically he's so up for it and it's a massive opportunity for him," said Sims.

"It's a winnable fight for him and he's had no injuries in his preparation - I really believe it's his destiny to win this. Sometimes you have to be in the right place at the right time to land major belts and that's exactly where I think Darren is.

"Darren's had that big fight experience in America against Martinez and he's got that experience to call on but this is all new to Geale. He's a good fighter, they don't hand world titles out for nothing, but there's pressure on him to impress in America."
