Mike Alvarado will make the first defence of his WBO light-welterweight title against Ruslan Provodnikov in Denver on October 19.
The pair have already been involved in candidates for fight of the year and a clash between the pair is highly anticipated.
Alvarado gained revenge over Brandon Rios in March for his defeat in 2012's fight of the year, while Russian Provodnikov dropped a contentious points decision to Timothy Bradley in another March belter.
That fight was Provodnikov's first at welterweight but he will drop back down 7lb to take on 'Mile High' Mike in his home town.
Juan Manuel Marquez currently holds the WBO title but with him stepping up a division to take on Bradley on October 12 interim belt holder Alvarado is likely to be upgraded to full champion by the time of the fight.
