Derry Mathews has signed a deal to defend his Commonwealth lightweight title against Curtis Woodhouse on September 21.
The Liverpudlian will be on home turf on the bill at the city's Olympia venue, which will be promoted jointly by Matchroom and Coldwell Boxing and shown live on Sky Sports.
Mathews knocked out Tommy Coyle in Hull this month to claim the vacant title, while former footballer Woodhouse stopped Joe Elfidh on the same card to take his record to 19-5.
Liam Smith and Erick Ochieng will fight for the vacant British light-middleweight title on the same night if the British Boxing Board of Control agrees to switch that contest from Sheffield.
And the bill will also feature English super-middleweight champion Rocky Fielding, former Olympian Thomas Stalker and local fighter Callum Smith.
Matchroom's Eddie Hearn said: "This has all the feel of a real throwback fight night and what better city to hold it than Liverpool.
"Mathews vs Woodhouse is expected to be a brutal affair, and Smith vs Ochieng is a real pick'em fight, and with young talent on the bill, it's going to be an action-packed night."
"I'm delighted to be working with Dave Coldwell on this show and bringing a great night of action to Merseyside."
