Kell Brook: Looking forward to renewing rivalry with Carson Jones

Kell Brook insists he will take out his frustration on Carson Jones when old rivals lock horns once again in Hull on Saturday.

Brook has fought just once since narrowly beating American Jones 12 months ago - a three round drubbing of Hector Saldivia in September.

His enforced absence through injury has kept him from challenging for the IBF world title, and the Sheffield boxer now finds himself having to rebuild.

And Jones, who took Brook all the way in their clash last year, is in the wrong place at the wrong time, according to 'The Special One'.

"He was at 100 per cent that night and I was nowhere near," Brook (29-0) said. "He's going to meet a very frustrated and angry man on Saturday.

"The last months have been so hard, with all that's happened, and I just want to get fighting again.

"That fight bugged me because I knew I had let myself down and cut some corners in the build-up.

"I might have gone for someone easier, but I want to sort him out. I know he will be hard and test me, but I am in great shape and so ready for this fight.

"I have a lot of things to put right and I will make sure I do."

The pair of welterweights tipped the scales at 10st 11lb for this non-title fight, 4lb above the normal ceiling.

The fight is part of a great show at Hull KR's MS3 Craven Park home, which features the debut of Olympic champion Luke Campbell, Lee Selby's latest outing plus Derry Mathews v Tommy Coyle.
