Fury 'optimistic' over Haye fight
Tyson Fury has confirmed he is demanding the 'lion's share' of the purse in negotiations with David Haye.
The pair are on collision course for a potential domestic dust-up in September but talks have stalled in recent days with Fury insisting on an 80/20 split of the proceeds.
And he told Sky Sports that as the fighter of the moment he should expect to be paid more than former world champion Haye.
"Haye is a 'has-been' and I'm what's in fashion at the moment in the heavyweight division so I should get the lion's share," he said.
"We've got a deadline of the end of the month to sign the contract and if he doesn't sign then Team Fury moves on.
"But as far as I'm concerned there's nothing I'd like more than to beat David Haye up.
"There is room for negotiation so hopefully we'll come to an agreement very soon."
