Kell Brook is poised to return to the ring on the same show that will feature Luke Campbell's professional debut.
Brook's clash with IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander has been cancelled three times through injuries to each fighter.
And while promoter Eddie Hearn remains hopeful he can deliver the mandatory challenger a title shot, he is keen to get the Sheffield stylist back in the ring as soon as possible.
And an early-July date in Hull fits in perfectly with Brook's new schedule.
"It probably will be a 10-rounder, then we want to put him in a big fight in September," Hearn told IFilm London. "I want to keep him active and give him something to focus on.
"He's still training...swimming and cycling, nothing on the foot as yet, but I want to get him out in Hull and then hopefully in September at the (Motorpoint) Arena."
The show will take place at either the KC Stadium or Craven Park, and will also see Derry Mathews take on Tommy Coyle for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title.
