James DeGale's defence of his WBC Silver super middleweight title against Alexander Brand has been postponed.
The 2008 Olympic gold medallist was due to face the Colombian at Glow, Bluewater in Kent on 23 March but promoters Hennessey Sports have confirmed that the fight has been delayed.
No reason was given for the postponement but the problem appears to lie in the Brand camp as DeGale took to Twitter to express his disappointment at the news.
He wrote: "Gutted! Just been told my fight on the 23 March has been postponed! New date to be confirmed!"
A statement from the promoters read: "Hennessey Sports would like to apologise to everyone that this unfortunate and unavoidable situation has affected.
"Hennessey Sports and James DeGale will be issuing a statement in the coming days regarding the rescheduled date and the situation regarding tickets for this exciting encounter between these two world class fighters."
Brand was drafted in as a late replacement for DeGale's originally intended opponent, Argentinean Pablo Oscar Natilio Farias.
