Willie Limond has claimed the vacant Commonwealth light-welterweight title after an impressive first-round stoppage of Eddie Doyle in Glasgow.
Doyle, 27, went into the ring unbeaten in 12 professional bouts but he had no answer to his 33-year-old opponent and was knocked down twice in the opening 90 seconds.
Referee Victor Loughlin stepped in to call a halt to proceedings after one minute and 56 seconds, judging Doyle to be in no state to continue.
Earlier in the evening, Highland heavweight Gary Cornish, 25, recorded his 12th successive win with a convincing 60-53 points success over Hungarian Tamas Bajzath.
Limond claimed he had "a funny feeling" that he would get the early victory, saying: "I knew he was going to come at me.
"But I thought early on that the fight wouldn't go past a round."
