Nathan Cleverly is set to defend his WBO light-heavyweight title against Robin Krasniqi of Germany on March 16.
Krasniqi pulled out of a fight with Cleverly earlier in 2012 but the WBO ordered the Welshman to make a mandatory defence in the New Year.
Promoter Frank Warren won the purse bid of $500,000 and will now look to stage the fight in Cardiff.
It will be Cleverly's fifth defence of the title after a year in which challengers Tommy Karpency and Shawn Hawk failed to come up to scratch.
Warren had been hoping to lure veteran Bernard Hopkins into agreeing a clash but the Philadelphian now looks poised to fight IBF champion Tavoris Cloud, also in March.
