Kell Brook's rescheduled bout with Devon Alexander will now take place on 23 February at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.

The IBF welterweight fight was originally scheduled for 19 January but has been delayed after Brook injured his ankle in a recent training session.

Promoter Eddie Hearn requested an extra month for his charge to recover completely and ensure the fight was given the best chance to go ahead.

The fight will now be the showpiece in a planned tripleheader which will also see Detroit's Cornelius Bundrage make a third defence of his IBF light-middleweight crown against Ishe Smith.

Golden Boy promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer said: "We'll have two world title fights, and it could turn out to be three.

"So if we bring three world title fights, including one with hometown champion 'K9' Bundrage, I think we will do darn well there. Detroit is a great fight town."

Brook wrote on his Twitter feed: "Feb 23 I'm gonna show the World just how Special I am. I'm gonna bring this World title home for Britain."
