Ricky Hatton and Vyacheslav Senchenko both weighed in at 10st 6lb 10oz for their welterweight fight at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night.
Former world two-weight world champion Hatton, 34, is making his comeback more than three years after a crushing defeat to Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, and tipped the scales before shaking hands with his opponent.
Hatton told jubilant fans afterwards: "You've done it again for me haven't you? You've always been there for me.
"The support. The people who've paid for the tickets. The people who've stuck up for me in these last three years since I've been away. Well I'm back now and I won't let you down on Saturday night. You watch."
Senchenko, 35, suffered his first defeat in his last bout when he was stopped by Paulie Malignaggi - a victim of Hatton's back in 2008.
The Ukrainian visitor is a year older than Hatton but boasts a 13cm reach advantage and is expected to provide a solid acid test for the Mancunian's hopes of an Indian summer.
Who will win?
