Darren Hamilton's delayed British light-welterweight title defence against Steve Williams has been called off again.

The pair have been on collision course since Hamilton ripped the belt from Ashley Theophane in May.

However, Hamilton has had to withdraw from next Friday's clash on the David Price vs Matt Skelton undercard after suffering a perforated eardrum in sparring.

It completes a year of frustration for mandatory challenger Williams, who was forced to pull out of the Theophane fight after picking up a virus before watching Hamilton take the title after coming in at late notice.

Williams vs Hamilton was due to take place on the Price vs Audley Harrison bill last month, but had to be pulled by promoter Frank Maloney.
