David Price: Believes he proved his class with victory over Audley Harrison

David Price insists Audley Harrison was a worthy opponent after stopping him in 82 seconds in Liverpool on Saturday night.

The British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion was in unstoppable form in the Echo Arena and he defended his decision to take on Harrison.

"He has been stopped twice before in his career and one of those was against Michael Sprott, which was a bit of a lucky punch," Price told Sky Sports News.

"The other time was David Haye but I was more clinical than anyone else has been against Audley Harrison, so I think I sent a message out."

A future bout with one of the Klitschko brothers has been suggested but 29-year-old Price believes that may be some way off.

"I don't know how realistic it is at this stage as I am unlikely to get picked out as a voluntary defence because I am a dangerous opponent and a big man as well, I am bigger than the pair of them," added the 6'8" fighter.

"It would be more likely if I get in a mandatory position to fight for the title. I would probably prefer to fight Vitali, as he is the oldest and is showing signs of starting to slow down, although he has been a fantastic fighter over the years and still is."

Next up for Price is a fight with fellow Briton Matt Skelton on December 8.
