Gennady Golovkin is taking the challenge of British-based Pole Grzegorz Proksa seriously ahead of Saturday's world title clash in New York.
The German-based Kazakh will make the fourth defence of his WBA middleweight title against Proksa, who less than seven months ago lost to Welshman Kerry Hope.
However, Proksa avenged that loss and regained his European title in Sheffield in July, teeing him up for a shot at the undefeated Golovkin.
And while the majority have knockout artist Golovkin as a heavy favourite, the 30-year-old is taking nothing for granted.
"I think he has very good movement, he has good technique," he told boxingscene.com. "He's a good boxer, it's going to be a tough fight."
Proksa, who has relinquished the European strap in favour of a fight with Golovkin, is undeterred by the task facing him.
"It will be a tough fight for sure," he said. "I respect my opponent but I believe in my work, what I've done up to today. Everything will appear crystal clear."
