David Price: Will take on former Olympic champion Audley Harrison in October
David Price will put his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles on the line against Audley Harrison at Liverpool's Echo Arena on October 13.
Price, who won a bronze medal in the super-heavyweight category at the Beijing Olympics four years ago, will meet the gold medal winner from Sydney in 2000.
Harrsion has been given the shot despite only fighting once since his brutal loss to David Haye in 2010, the 40-year-old earning a stoppage win over Ali Adams in May.
"Audley was an inspiration to me when I was younger, someone our amateur squad always looked up to," Price said.
Price has so far compiled a perfect professional record of 13-0 and won the British and Commonwealth crowns when he defeated Sam Sexton in May.
"He called me before Beijing to offer advice, which I'm grateful for, but he's still getting flattened."
The fight will reportedly be shown on BoxNation after promoter Frank Maloney signed a one-year deal with Frank Warren's subscription channel.
