Nottingham man is strong enough to pull off a shock

Nathan Cleverly has tipped Carl Froch to pull off the biggest win of his career in Saturday's clash against Andre Ward. WBA champion Ward is the favourite to win the Super Six trophy when he faces Froch in the final of the super-middleweight tournament in Atlantic City this weekend. But WBO light heavyweight champion Cleverly believes the Nottingham fighter is too strong and too powerful for Ward and has tipped the WBC champion to upset the American on his home soil. "I think Ward is going to be the bookies' favourite going into the fight," he told Sky Sports News HD. "Obviously he's unbeaten, fighting in America on his home turf basically. "But you can never write off Carl Froch. He's so tough, he trains well, I think he has got a great chance. "I think Carl Froch can actually pull it off. I hear a lot of people say they fancy Andre Ward, but I think Carl Froch has got the strength to pull it off, he's a great fighter. When asked about fighting on foreign soil, Cleverly added: "He's mentally strong. I think he will handle it and I think he will come through well. "I think he's got the power. I don't think Andre Ward has got the power to trouble Carl. He's got the speed and the boxing ability, but not the power to trouble Carl."
