Dereck Chisora could be poised to defend his British and Commonwealth titles against Tyson Fury after the British Boxing Board of Control ordered purse bids.
Chisora was twice lined up to fight IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko but the Ukrainian dropped out on both occasions through injury, and has now agreed to take on David Haye.
The BBBC has now mandated the undefeated Fury to challenge for Chisora's titles with bids to be submitted by noon on April 13, and the fight to take place by the end of July.
And, true to form, the hitherto untested Fury has vowed to take Chisora's belts in just his 15th contest.
"I'm going to strip the title away from him along with the zero on his record," he said.
"Can't wait for this fight, it's been a long time in the making, but one thing is for sure, it's not going to take me as long to finish him off.
"Expect another brutal knock out delivered from this 22 year old."
Chisora has made just a solitary defence of the British title he won from Danny Williams last May, beating then-Commonwealth champion Sam Sexton with an impressive stoppage win.
