The pair are on a collision course with London's big night of boxing looming large - live on Sky Sports Box Office - and harsh words were exchanged at Wednesday's press conference.

Johnson, 35, is expected to provide Joshua with the stiffest test of his career so far but the brash American is making no secret of his desire to expose the Olympic champion at the 02 Arena.

Despite the 25-year-old Joshua halting all 12 of his professional opponents inside three rounds, Johnson (29-6-1), said: "Half the fight I'm going to fight with my hands down - he don't have no power! Mark my words - that'll be the way the fight will go. I don't need my hands up. He doesn't have no power to hurt me. Guaranteed.

This will be so easy. This'll be like a nursery rhyme. Mary had a little lamb. Humpty dumpty sat on the wall. Jack and Jill went up the hill. This is one of those.

"When he wants to see power, he's going to feel my power. For the first time in his career, he's going to feel power and he's going to get beat.

"This is going to be the best fight of the night. This is going to be the best heavyweight fight that's been seen for 13 years exactly.

Johnny Nelson says guys like Kevin Johnson know how to survive in the ring ahead of his fight with Anthony Joshua on Saturday, live on Sky.

"If he is who he claims to be, then this is going to be the best heavyweight fight. It's going to be a quick one because apparently he's a knockout artist... but apparently I'm 100 per cent, so apparently I'm not getting knocked out.

"If I was at 20 per cent I'm not getting knocked out, so what do you think at 100 per cent? I'm gonna make change of somebody!"
