Floyd Mayweather says he is not interested in having a rematch with Manny Pacquiao and has branded the Filipino fighter a 'sore loser'.

The 38-year-old Mayweather took on Pacquiao in an eagerly-awaited bout in Las Vegas last Saturday but retained his unbeaten record with surprising ease, cruising to a one-sided points victory.

Pacquiao subsequently blamed his defeat on a right shoulder injury that later required surgery.

However, Mayweather does not think the injury impacted Pacquiao’s performance and has changed his mind about a possible rematch.

Mayweather made his comments in an interview with Showtime which was recorded late on Tuesday night and will be broadcast on Saturday.

Asked if he thought Pacquiao was hampered by the shoulder injury, Mayweather told Jim Gray: "Absolutely not.

“He was fast. His left hand was fast, his right hand was fast, and he was throwing them both fast and strong.”

Mayweather acknowledges that he had earlier texted ESPN's Stephen A. Smith to say he welcomed a rematch.

"Yeah, but I change my mind," he said.

"At this particular time, no, because he's a sore loser and he's a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, 'Mayweather, you were the better fighter’.

"I'm not going to buy into this and I don't want the public to buy into it. He lost, he knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”
