Carl Froch said that he thinks Amir Khan is worried about Kell Brook’s right hand

Carl Froch has told Amir Khan he is not "too big" to come and fight Kell Brook.

The WBA super-middleweight champion wants to see the welterweight rivals finally get it on following Brook's fourth-round stoppage of mandatory challenger Jo Jo Dan.

The Sheffield star and promoter Eddie Hearn both called out Khan right after the fight and Froch, who was ringside for Sky Sports, made it clear that he wants to see the boy from Bolton come to fight in the United Kingdom.

"I think Amir Khan is worried by that punch - on his whiskers like Kell said! I think that's a fantastic fight that should happen - but probably won't."

"It is a big fight," he told Sky Sports.

"Eddie Hearn called it on for Khan and there's no reason why Amir Khan shouldn't come to England and fight Kell Brook.

"I think Khan thinks he's too big for Kell Brook and fair play to him, he's been around on the scene for a while and he's fighting in Vegas and Amir Khan thinks hes a big shot.

"But Kell Brook is the world champion, Amir Khan's got no title. If he thinks he can beat Brook then come over here and try and take his world title off him."

More from Brook V Dan

Khan sent out a tweet of congratulations to Brook, saying it was nice to see him back in the ring, but could not resist playing down the win over Dan, throwing #EasyWork at the end of it.

He has also been linked with Adrian Broner while Brook says he will fight again in June, with Shane Mosley revealing he wants to come and talk to promoter Barry Hearn, too.

Froch shares the Matchroom stable of course, but refused to side with either British welterweight star should they fight.

"I think it will be a great fight," he said.

"It willl be a difficult fight. It's a fight that could go either way. Amir Khan has got fast hands, he's got bags of talent, he's skilful, he's got fast feet he's got a high work rate but Kell Brook has now got that belief and he's got that punch.
