Judging by his tweet about Carl being born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Avalos clearly hasn't done his geography homework. Is he going to underestimate the lad from Tiger's Bay?
Carl Frampton is a cracking fighter and I am glad to be going out there for this one.
I've spent some time with the lad and I've got to say he is a nice, down-to-earth kid and if there is one fighter who can perform on that big stage, it's him.
He is a straight-talking lad, he knows what he wants and he knows what he has to do.
Barry McGuigan did his bit when it was at its worst, but Frampton is not far behind. He is a man backed by a huge fan-base.
I will be there on Saturday night when Avalos has to walk into the ring - I can't wait to feel the atmosphere that will greet him. It is going to be something else.
I am glad that Scott Quigg will be there as well. Our super-bantamweight division is special at the moment. Carl is a really nice lad, so is Scott and so is Kid Galahad - and boy, they can all box.
Frampton is the best of the three, here and now, but that is just my opinion and that does not necessarily mean I expect him to beat Quigg if that fight happens. We all want to see it and we all want to see all three of them in the mix. I am expecting the IBF belt to stay in Belfast.

The challenger is here to try and wind Carl up and I don't think this is going to be a pushover. But Avalos will find out that Frampton is a brilliant all-round fighter. On top of that, mentally he will be spot-on. He is tough and he is hard.
At this level though, world-class level, there is always a danger but we know Frampton has to come through this with flying colours. Avalos might come at him early on and he might even get off to the better start but I can only see Carl's class coming through.
He will slowly start breaking him down and I can see him forcing a late stoppage, maybe the ninth or 10th round. It will be the latest day of the Jackal.
