Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson look ahead to this week's Fight Night - Paul Smith takes on Arthur Abraham for the WBO super-middleweight title.

Paul Smith is in no doubt he will dethrone WBO super-middleweight champion Arthur Abraham in Kiel on Saturday night.

Live Fight Night

The Liverpudlian, 31, travels to Germany as the underdog but believes home fighter Abraham, who has only lost to elite divisional fighters Andre Dirrell, Carl Froch, Andre Ward and Robert Stieglitz, is past his best at the age of 34.

Smith told Sky Sports News HQ: "I'm ready, 100%. As ready as I'll ever be. Everything's gone great in camp. I've put everything in that's been asked from me and more. Preparations have been going great.

"Everything is spot on now in fight week. We're tapering down and trying to get the energy levels back, doing all the media commitments, press conference, public workout etc and getting ready for the weigh-in.

"I am the underdog and this is my first world title fight. Arthur Abrahams has had 18 or 19 world title fights so it's a massive chance for me and that's exactly how I want it. You don't get given world titles. It's going to be the hardest fight of my life but I'm prepared for that.

"It hasn't been hostile over here. I went for a walk around the town centre. Three different people stopped me and wished me luckk and they were Germans. It's not really hostile. All the English fans will arrive soon and I'm very lucky. I'm grateful and I'm sure they'll make some noise Saturday night.

"I've got to be smart. I'm not going to go in there like people assume. I'm not going to go in there, stand in the middle and just bang away. That just plays into his hands. The smarter fighter will win this fight - it's all about timing and tactics.

"Carl Froch has shown how to beat him but Carl fights the way he does and I fight the way I do. Andre Ward did it differently to Carl Froch. I think the jab is going to be key in the fight and I can match anyone with my jab. I've got to keep off-setting him with that.

"I've also got to be tough and strong and have the engine to see it out, which is something I've been worked on for these last 12-14 weeks.

"You see fighters go in the win thinking they can win but I'm going in knowing I can win. I know I will win this fight. It's about getting everything right on the night. Some people go on the ringwalk and realise they're out of their depth but it's not happening here. I've studied him enough to know that.

"The fights I've studied were him at his best and I don't believe he's at his best now. That's not underestimating him, that's just facts of life. People got old and people get richer, less hungry and I believe it's happened to him.

"This is perfect timing for me and I believe I'll be world champion on Saturday night."

Smith's bid for world title glory headlines the bill and will be supported by his brother Stephen's super-featherweight bout with Gianluca Ceglia and the middleweight clash between Matthew Macklin and Joseph Yebes.
