Scott Quigg had to be separated from challenger Stephane Jamoye at the weigh-in for Saturday’s world title clash.
The Bury fighter will put his WBA super-bantamweight belt on the line against the Belgian in Manchester, live on Sky Sports, and was fired-up ahead of his fourth title defence.
Both men were inside the weight limit, but then refused to end the customary head-to-head, prompting promoter Eddie Hearn to step in and usher the champion away.
Quigg is hoping for a future fight against rival Carl Frampton, who defeated Kiko Martinez to claim the IBF belt last weekend, but firstly must get past Jamoye.

"But let me tell you, he isn’t taking nothing away from me tomorrow. That belt isn’t going nowhere, it’s staying with me and I’m going to prove that by doing a job on Jamoye.
"Tomorrow take care of business and those big names are there."
On a packed undercard, lightweight Anthony Crolla faces tough Mexican Gamaliel Diaz, while heavyweight Anthony Joshua takes on Konstantin Airich.
The 6’6” Olympic gold medallist towered over his Kazakh-born opponent, who reached the Prizefighter semi-finals on his last trip to England.
Two British title eliminators also feature on the bill, with the returning Denton Vassell facing Sam Eggington at welterweight and Scotty Cardle battles lightweight foe Kirk Goodings.
