Kell Brook has urged Amir Khan to accept a future fight as he wants to settle their feud with a knockout win.
The Sheffield fighter expressed his desire to face Khan after ripping the IBF welterweight belt from Shawn Porter in America on Saturday night.
His bitter rival watched the points win from the Sky Sports studio and appeared to agree to the challenge, insisting he would relish the British battle after a lengthy war of words.
Eddie Hearn, Brook’s promoter, wants the pair to warm-up by fighting on the same night on December 6th, increasing public demand for a summer showdown in 2015.
But Brook hopes Khan will stay true to his word and plans to inflict a crushing defeat on the Bolton man, a former world champion at light-welterweight.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: “Coming from me, you’ve heard it many times that I want the fight. You’ve heard it from him, he wants the fight. Let’s sign the contract and make it happen.
“He’s said that I’ve never proved myself. I’ve gone to America, to the American’s backyard and took the title from him. I’m now the world champion, let’s make the fight happen.
“It’s a huge fight, every single fan in Britain wants to see that fight and I want to knock the guy out and show everyone that I’m the No 1.”
Carl Froch’s rematch win over George Groves drew nearly 80,000 fans to Wembley in May and Brook believes another domestic grudge match will prove just as popular.
‘The Special One’ has a string of knockouts to his name and expects a dramatic contest with Khan, who has also been involved in some thrilling fights.
“It excites me, there is Benn-Eubank, Froch-Groves, and then Brook-Khan,” Brook added.
“It’s going to be massive. I think it will sell out any arena in Britain and everybody will be talking about it.
“I think me fighting him - it’s been going on that long - I think the tactics will go out the book and we’ll just meet in the centre of the ring and have a brawl.
“His style and my style, I think, will definitely gel. He’s got quick hands, quick feet and he’s very exciting. As we know, he hasn’t got the best chin, so that makes it more exciting and I can definitely punch.
“It’s got all the ingredients to be a super, exciting fight.”
