Anthony Joshua is the British heavyweight hope we all have our eyes on.
But no-one has seen him as up close and personal as Sky Sports Boxing, thanks to a special documentary that is heading your way... Sky Sports Originals' Anthony Joshua Heavyweight Hopes.
Joshua opens up and is honest as he takes us back to where he was brought up, on Watford’s Meriden Estate where he had to turn to boxing after getting in trouble with the police.
He was 18 when it could have all gone wrong outside the ring yet within five years and after 40-odd amateur fights he was, of course, crowned Olympic champion.
He looks back at those teenage years and that first year in the paid ranks where he has already knocked out all seven opponents.
Joshua tells us his hopes for the future, how he relaxes away from the sport he loves and how he’s become a role model using his past mistakes to inspire the next generation.
It is a golden chance to catch-up with the next biggest thing in British boxing... coming soon.
You can see Anthony Joshua Heavyweight Hopes on Sky Sports 1 at 7.00pm on Sunday, August 24.
