BBL: Leicester Riders triumph on the road as London Lions lose away at Glasgow Rocks

Leicester Riders maintained their winning start to the BBL season with a 99-91 victory away to the Plymouth Raiders on Sunday.
Rashad Hassan claimed 26 points and Tyler Bernardini and Pavol Losonskuy both contrbuted 20 points apiece, as the Riders took over at the top of the table
London Lions slipped off the summit after they suffered a 62-56 defeat at Glasgow Rocks, Kieron Achara marking his return to BBL action with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Scottish team.
The Great Britain international secured the victory from the free-throw line, hitting two late efforts after his national team colleague Drew Sullivan had missed a three-pointer at the other end that would have got London to within a point of their hosts.
In Manchester, the Giants suffered an 82-73 loss against Bristol Flyers, with both teams locked on four points after their opening three games.
Doug Herring was the highest scorer in the contest with 23 points for the beaten visitors, while Manchester saw Mathias Seilund scored 12 of his 18 points from the free throw line.
Also on Sunday, Cheshire Phoenix recorded their first win of the season as they saw off Durham Wildcats 88-65 in a BBL Cup clash. Taylor King weighed in with 24 points.
