The Memphis Grizzlies set up a Western Conference showdown with Phoenix on Monday night as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 103-90.
Their triumph at the Staples Arena - powered by 18 points from Marc Gasol - puts them above the Suns in the final play-off spot in the west, and the two play each other in the penultimate game of the season .
Portland asssured themselves of at least the fifth seeding in the play-offs as they saw off Golden State 119-117.
Stephen Curry poured in 47 points for the Warriors but it was not enough, with LaMarcus Alridge (26 points) winning it in overtime.
Indiana are close to take the number one spot in the Easter Conference. The Pacers beat Oklahoma City 102-97 and can now secure top billing if Miami lose one of their last two games, or they themselves beat Orlando on Wedneaday.
The New York Knicks responded to not making the play-offs by beating Chicago 100-89 at Madison Square Garden, while 20 points from Mirza Teletovic helped the Brooklyn Nets get the better of Orlando 97-88.
Toronto recorded their 47th win of the season - equalling a franchise record - as they saw off the Detroit Pistons 116-107 at the Palace.
DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points for the Raptors and Kyle Lowry backed him up with 28.
Elsewhere, Sacramento, with nothing to play for, beat Minnesota 106-103.
