Newcastle Eagles defeated Glasgow Rocks 89-84 to claim their sixth straight victory and move four points clear at the top of the BBL standings.
Paul Gause came off the bench to top score with 22 points for the Eagles as they claimed their 25th win of the season in Glasgow.
The Eagles trailed by double-digits at one point but a Gause-inspired 16-0 run in the second quarter saw them restore parity.
The contest was still in the balance heading into the final quarter but Newcastle eventually eked out some breathing space in the latter stages.
Elsewhere, The fourth-placed Leicester Riders recorded a comfortable 81-59 win away to the Plymouth Raiders with Rashad Hassan impressing for the visitors with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Also in action on Sunday, Manchester Giants saw off Durham Wildcats 90-78, while second-bottom Surrey United suffered a 101-91 home defeat to the Cheshire Phoenix.
