Great Britain centre Eric Boateng has been drafted by the LA Lakers for their training camp.
The 27-year-old from London played US Collegiate basketball for Duke and Arizona State but failed to win an NBA contract in the 2010 NBA draft.
He went on to spend the three seasons playing for Idaho Stampede and the Austin Toros in the NBA's Development League, while the 6ft 10in Boateng had spells at Greek Basket League team Peristeri and the New Yorker Phantoms in Germany.
Boateng appeared in all five of Britain's games at the EuroBasket Championships, scoring 11 points.
The Lakers now have 18 players on their training roster, with NBA teams only able to take 15 into the regular season.
